The US-HR models come bundled with world-renowned software that will enhance the user's production workflow. At the core of music production, Steinberg's Cubase LE/Cubasis LE 3 DAW is included, along IK Multimedia's Sample Tank SE, which comes free of charge with a massive 30 GB sound library encompassing more than 2,000 different musical instruments.
I/O Interface Designed for Podcasters and Live Streamers
The US-2x2HR can be used with computers or smartphones to easily create podcasts or live streams. The audio can be switched between stereo/mono, and the loopback function allows the audio from the computer to be returned to the streaming software for playback during live streams. US-2x2HR also supports OBS, which is popular and used worldwide.
New Audio Interface Engine
Capitalizing on our experience being one of the pioneers in manufacturing USB audio interfaces, we achieved further stability in our native driver. The audio buffer size can be set starting from 4 samples (Windows only) to give the best performance to every different environment; maximizing the capability of the computer in use while creating a low-latency environment.

The US-2x2HR can be used as an interface for iPad and other iOS devices.

Its robust metal jacket not only improves its durability but, combined with dye-cast aluminum side panels, provides a sleek and eye-catching design. In addition, all models have just the right weight, so they won't move when cables are connected or disconnected.

- 1) PHANTOM Indicator
The indicator lights when the phantom power switch (19) of the rear panel is set to "ON" - 2) SIG Indicators
The SIG indicators light green when signals (of at least −32 dBFS) are input through the IN1/IN2/LINE IN L-R jacks (8/9/u). - 3) PEAK Indicators
The PEAK indicators light red when signals that are about to distort (−1 dBFS or higher) are input through the IN1/IN2/LINE IN L-R jacks (8/9/u). - 4) GAIN Knobs
Use to adjust the input levels of the IN1/IN2 jacks (8/9). - 5) LINE OUT Knob
Use to adjust the output level of the LINE OUT L and R (i) jacks on the back of the unit. - 6) PHONES Knob
Use to adjust the output level of the PHONES jack (q)
CAUTION:
Before connecting headphones, minimize the volume with the PHONES knob. Failure to do so could result in a sudden loud noise that could harm hearing. - 7) USB Indicator
This lights when the USB connection is working. - 8) IN1 jack
This mic level XLR jack is a balanced input jack. - 9) IN2 jack
This input jack is a standard TRS jack. Use the LINE/INST switch (0) on the front of the unit to enable balanced line (LINE) input or unbalanced (INST) input for the standard TRS jack. - 10) LINE/INST Switch
Set according to the IN2 jack (9) input sources. Set to LINE when connecting electronic instruments, audio devices and similar equipment. Set to INST when connecting a guitar, bass or other equipment with high output impedance. - 11) PHONES jack
Use this standard stereo jack to connect stereo headphones. This jack outputs the same signal of the rear panel as the LINE OUT L–R jacks(i). Use an adapter to connect headphones with a mini plug.
- 12) DC IN 5V connector (Micro USB type)
When connected to an iOS device or other equipment that cannot power this unit, you must use a USB power adapter, mobile battery or other power supply. See "When using an iOS device" on page 9 for details. - 13) Kensington Security Slot
Designed to be used with Optional Kensington Security Locks (available separately) to secure this device in place in open areas it might go otherwise missing. - 14) USB Type-C Port
Use a USB Type-C Cable to connect the unit to a computer or an iOS device.
Attention:- When using this unit while connected to a computer, it will receive power from the computer’s USB port. Depending on the computer, the USB port might not be able to supply enough power to operate the unit. In this case, connect and use a dedicated AC adapter.
- When connected to a USB 3.0 port, it will function in High Speed mode equivalent to USB 2.0 (480 Mbps maximum).
- After waking a computer from suspend (sleep) mode, if the unit does not operate properly, turn it off and turn it on again or disconnect and reconnect the USB cable.
- 15) DIRECT MONITOR Switch
Turning this switch ON enables the Settings Panel Monitor Balance slider and input monitoring without delay (direct monitoring). (see “Using direct monitoring” on page 11) - 16) INPUT SELECT Switch
Set according to the input sources; Set to FRONT when connecting to IN1/IN2 jacks (8/9) of the front panel. Set to REAR when connecting to LINE IN L-R jacks (17) of the rear panel. - 17) LINE IN L-R jacks
These RCA pin jacks are analog line inputs. - 18) LINE OUT L-R jacks
These RCA pin jacks are analog line inputs. - 19) Phantom Power Switch
Use this switch to provide +48V Phantom Power to the IN1 jack (8).
