Fast and cool

Strengths:

Runs at 2865mhz while gaming. Core and memory temp at 50° C with hotspot at 58° . No coil whine or fan noise at all. Vapor chamber cooler, most 4070's still use solid cold plates. Nice build quality and looks. Got it on sale for less than most other aib models.

Weaknesses:

Cost.

Additional Comments:

Excellent performance. If comparing 4070 models I would suggest this one. Most reviews show it boosting the highest out of the box with the best thermals.

Poor man's Quadro

Strengths:

12GB Vram, hardware AV1 encoding, least expensive 40 series at time of review. Only 2.5 slots wide, instead of 3 or 3.5, like most 4080s and 4090s.

Weaknesses:

Gaming performance per dollar, but that's true of every 70-90 model since the 20 series. Instead of a regular 8+8pin power plug, this card utilizes a Hi-power 12pin connector. Why implement this in a PCIe ver. 4 card? This card sags 2 degrees. It comes with an included anti-sag bracket, but the back-plate should have been better designed to counter sag in the first place.

Additional Comments:

I bought this card as an alternative to a PNY board GPU, and it kills the PNY A4000, even with 4 less GBs of VRAM. If you want a somewhat affordable 40 series as a content creator, this this GPU is a good alternative. I wouldn't have bought this card if my purpose was to play games with it.
