Fatter than advertised

Strengths:

Damned fast. Damned cool.

Weaknesses:

Be aware that this isn't truly a 2 slot card. You won't be able to mount four of these on a SAGE or a Taichi motherboard for instance. HOWEVER you will find that you get close if you take off the metal front trim. Hoping to get three or four on my Asrock Taichi X399 in future.

Additional Comments:

Goes fast, ultimately workable in a 3-4 GPU system. will buy again.

Unexpected new customer impressed with build quality

Strengths:

Quiet, powerful, understated.

Weaknesses:

Radiator screws are round headed, expect that, or buy custom screws. 12VHPWR Connector is good on the card, but the concept is not good. It NEEDS a CableMod 90 Degree cable.

Additional Comments:

I really like the design of the card's chassis, the tubing is solid but flexible, I would suggest a wider/thiccer case to accommodate the hosing. I am disappointed at the mounting screws for the radiator. For as much as the card costs, I expected flat headed screws to fit under my dust cover, and black ones to match the radiator. Aside from the tiniest of gripes about that, the software is a bit rusty and needs North American polish. Well built though, very well built.

Strix fanboy and no regrets going with Liquid X

Strengths:

- Runs shockingly cool. I’ve experienced 4K UHD @ 165hz gameplay with as low as 39° C and the highest temp I’ve seen is about 58° C with uncapped frames. - This is the first card I’ve owned that I won’t overclock. It doesn’t need it. Honestly. - Smallest GPU size available (currently) - The small aesthetic detail makes this one of the nicest looking cards with the brushed metal and gold accents, and you really need to see it in person to appreciate it.

Weaknesses:

- The card is still quite wide. Even with a Lian Li Dynamic XL case, I can barely get the front glass on. Not a must, but I’d recommend a vertical GPU bracket. - Has a fair bit of coil whine with higher loads. My Strix RTX 3090 was louder though.

Additional Comments:

I’ve used nothing but the highest end Strix Cards every generation since the 10 series. I was a little apprehensive about making the switch to MSI and I could not be happier with the performance of this card. I never thought I'd say this, but this may be the last graphics card I ever buy. Do it.

got lucky Best 4090 out there I am sure

Strengths:

Size cooling dlss 3 appearance RAW POWER

Weaknesses:

cost but thats expected

Additional Comments:

I like the TBD on core clock listing. Had mine 2 weeks now and been playing around a fair bit. First off out of box with stock bios and msi afterburner card runs happily at over 3000mhz clock speed. Haven't played with memory to much but good at +450mhz in all testing. So glad this one card came up and I ran over and got it! Its still somewhat big but nowhere near 3070 size. I just have my cooler outside of case as i already have a 3 slot cpu cooler. So i bought the 3dmark suite on sale off steam and have been doing some testing. I am pretty close to breaking the top 100 scores on every single test without pushing card to much. Again stock bios and just using msi afterburner everything cranked on toughest test the fans barely come on lol. I set them full tilt for testing but card maxed out testing barely goes past 42° C lol. Just goes to show the power contained in this beautiful soild metal unit. As new and more powerful bios's are released the power cap will eventually be lifted i am sure from 110° to 130° C. This card eats everything alive without getting warm! There will be no need to overclock at all for many years to come. Been playing cyberpunk cranked on everything at phyco settings 4k at 120hz at 33° C lol THATS WITHOUT DLSS3!!! Need to get myself some DLSS3 titles and see what it can do. This card is stupid crazy and I am so blessed to have gotten it. Not sure what future will bring but this makes a 3090ti look like a cell phone in comparison. GET THIS CARD!!! SIZE MATTERS AND SO DOES COOLING
