Plagued with HDR / Firmware Issues

Strengths:

-Only 42" 4k120hz 16:9 W-OLED monitor on the market at this time along the Phillips Evnia -Great SDR color gamut -Great for productivity, gaming (SP games, not for competitive FPS) -Optical digital audio output (S/PDIF)

Weaknesses:

-HDR issues since day 1, still hasn't been fixed by Asus engineers. Color gamut and tone mapping is wildly inaccurate even on the latest firmware (V040). It's been nearly a full year. -Poor port placement/design (leads to flickering issues via DP1.4) -Only tilts +/- 5deg, no other ergonomic adjustments are possible -Poor SDR peak brightness with uniform brightness -Matte coating (great from a bright office environment, bad for dimly lit rooms and vibrancy is poor compared to glossy) -Most expensive 4k OLED panel on the market ($2000 w/taxes originally)

Additional Comments:

Do not buy this monitor - the LG 42" C2/C3 is a much better panel used as a monitor and it's glossy. It's also half the price.
