Strengths:
I upgraded from an R7 2700, and this is a lot faster in every way. Excellent performance in games, multitasking and productivity. PBO2 Max Boost overclocking and curve optimizer, along with power and thermal controls let you push this CPU past a stock 5800x. Or leave it at 65W TDP for unmatched efficiency. At stock this CPU stays frosty with even the cheapest coolers. I got it on sale for a steal in my opinion. Good B550 motherboards can be found on sale and DD4 is cheap.
Weaknesses:
AM4 is an end of life platform, so future upgrades may not exist. By that, I mean this is that future upgrade if you have an older Ryzen CPU. or if you find an amazing deal on a motherboard. Be careful Upgrading... make sure to update the BIOS then verify that BIOS with support 5000 series CPU's before you swap the chips.
Additional Comments:
One of the best value CPU's right now. To bad its on a dead platform. get them before there gone.
