Strengths:
Sound quality is OK.
Weaknesses:
Unlike Tascam's claims of "premium" and "maximum comfort", these are anything but comfortable (the "premium" claim is nullified due to lack of comfort). These headphones are like a "premium" looking pair of shoes that claim to be comfortable, but immediately after putting them on, they turn out to be quite uncomfortable. My ears actually touch the driver walls/mesh and I don't have a large head or large ears - size and/or distance from my skull. The padding is relatively thin and not very comfortable since my ears touch the inside of these headphones. There is nothing comfortable or soft about the earpads. I could not wear these for hours on end like I do with my daily headphones, a cheap pair of Corsair HS55 bought years ago (with a lot thicker fabric earpads and significantly less 'premium' than the Tascam TH-07 ones).
Additional Comments:
These Tascam TH-07 headphones were bought (on Nov. 2022) as gift for a family member. Since then they have been used for playing an electronic piano. The family member has since been using them more actively for the past six month. After playing sessions lasting over 1 hour, they voiced their discomfort repeatable. This prompted me to try them on myself, which made me realize that these headphones are truly an overpriced e-waist. The fact that I now have to diligently check any future set of headphones like this prior to gifting is not very confidence inspiring. Having bought them nearly a year and a half ago for 94 CAD (price-matched from 99 CAD), they now sell at 150 CAD. For 150 CAD, I would highly recommend to look either at a higher priced set, or a different brand.
