VR Enthusiast

Strengths:

Amazing GPU. Great looking card with fancy RGB if that's your thing. Works really well for well optimized VR titles Small OC switch on card. (Bypasses Zero fan setting, I really really hate Zero fan on a GPU. lol)

Weaknesses:

Requires 3 power cables from the power supply (do NOT use daisy chained cables, this card needs full power) Can run warm (mine doesn't run hot) and uses right around 400 watts stock

Additional Comments:

I bought mine a year ago and have been pleased with it since, I use it pretty much for VR only, it's great for most VR experiences, there are a few exceptions but this is due to the game being badly optimized for VR. I use a HP Reverb G2V2 as a VR HMD and with it's high resolution, it really taxes the 3080ti in certain titles. I do sim racing, I do have to set SteamVR resolution to 80% for some racing titles (80% in the G2 looks a LOT better than 150% in a Valve Index or even Quest-2). Titles like Assetto Corsa Competizione will run like hell, even on a 3090 it runs like hell, it's just a very badly optimized title, you have to really lower settings to get 90 fps. I've run these Sims with this card (also using a Ryzen 5900x) AC, AMS2, rFactor-2, R3E as long as I go to 80% SteamVR resolution, all these titles run at 90 fps and are silky smooth. :)

Great card. Bought it too early.

Strengths:

Fast, easy to install, runs quiet and fairly cool.
Runs between 75c and 84c while I am gaming.

Weaknesses:

Price (was just over $2K when I purchased it),
power requirement.
Power connectors on the top of the board face the wrong direction and 3 are needed.

Additional Comments:

So, I bought this card when it was just over $2K last winter after the new year. I was using a Gigabyte 3070 but after hearing about how bad their service was, and how they are making up any excuse to deny warranty claims, I decided I'm better off without any Gigabyte equipment in my PC. I upgraded to the EVGA 3080 TI FTW and couldn't be happier. It's fast, not too hot and looks good.
I am using a Meshify 2 XL full tower case, with lots of fans, so my entire system has very reasonable temperatures.
Note, the power connectors are turned 180 degrees from what most cards have, so if you want to purchase an RGB strimmer or cable extension, make sure you can reverse the connectors or you will have to go over the card instead of under the card. It is a heavy card but even though I have a support, I did not see much sag before installing it.

Yes this card ftw

Strengths:

Length. Cooling. Extra software. Led lights.

Weaknesses:

GPU Sag. 850 watt power supply needed .

Additional Comments:

This card fits silverstone fortress ft02 with no mods needed, where many triple fan cards will not fit. Perfect for 1440p 165hz Refresh Rates. Good air flow setup, this card will not get too hot.

The king of 3080 Ti value

Strengths:

This card is an absolute beast. It looks amazing, the manufacturer is excellent, and it performs at the top of the pack. Note: this card can pull over 400 watts out of the box and will run hot. In my o11 evo case it was running 75 degrees out of the box. In the Nvidia control panel I reset all settings to default and in geforce experience I set it to optimize all games and now its pulling about 300-325 watts and I'm getting almost 200 fps in warzone at 1440p high settings with DLSS and its sitting around 60-64 degrees. YMMV, but I love it.

Weaknesses:

None

Additional Comments:

After some tweaking this card runs like a top. Don't waste your money on lesser 3080 ti cards from other manufacturers with no after sales support.

Best price for a 3080TI overclocked performance

Strengths:

- Tears through games (using my 34inch 3,440 x 1,440 144hz ultra wide monitor) -12GB of VRAM - great cooler

Weaknesses:

Huge power draw - runs very warm at stock settings .. even in a HAF X advanced full tower case.

Additional Comments:

My card ran at 82° C and would pull up to 400 watts board draw ... I lowered the power draw in Precision software to 80% and now runs at 72c and about 80 watts less ... runs slower then the stock settings... but I cant tell in every game I have tested .... its simply a Juggernaut compared to my 1st gen 3070 FTW that it replaced.

Best 3080 TI for the price

Additional Comments:

Was lucky enough to find these in stock at my local memory express. Given the market these days, I was surprised to find a 3080 TI for just under 2000. Seems to be working great so far, and is fairly easy to keep cool while playing the newest games. Also isn't too long and should fit easily in most cases. The only annoying part is that it requires three PCIe cables (or 2 if you daisy chain one).
