Mr.

Strengths:

Low-profile, fits in a slim case, silent operation

Weaknesses:

Not that powerful, difficult driver installation (at least on my machine).

Additional Comments:

I got this to play older games that my integrated Intel HD 2000 graphics couldn't quite handle, and for that it's great. Seems well-suited for games from around 2010. I feel it probably could run some fairly modern titles on low settings, but I haven't tried. I'm running it with an i5 3.3GHz CPU and 8GB of RAM. I needed something that fits in an HP Compaq case and that can run on its 240W power supply. This card calls for a 300W power supply but it doesn't seem to be an issue. The one thing I had trouble with was driver installation. It was stuck using the Windows basic driver for a while. First off, the Asus website doesn't have the driver for this card for some reason (you'd think that if they're selling it, they would make the driver available... but whatever). Then I found drivers on the Nvidia website, but installation repeatedly failed. I tried different driver versions, rebooted frequently, tried getting the driver through windows update... then I attempted a regular Windows update, which also failed, but then it automatically retried the driver installation which finally succeeded. So I don't know what the problem was. I may have been doing something wrong or it could have been a weird quirk with my specific machine. Overall this is a great card if you don't need cutting-edge graphics and want to enjoy some older games.
