Powers my PC

- It is ridiculously loud both while under and not under load

I purchased an 850w RMx unit back in December of 2021 when I caught it on a good sale. I did not end up being able to build my new rig until just last month of this year (sept 2022). I bought this unit on the premise that it was supposed to be a higher-end unit in the corsair lineup and a quiet unit. Upon getting my rig put together was greeted with literally constantly some nasty coil whine. Not only is the decibel level of the whine audible over all 6 of my case fans at 50% (corsair ML120mm) this amount of coil whine happens when my PC is literally under zero load. Meaning the coil whine has 100% uptime, and is audible across my entire apartment. After building 25+ PCs I have never heard coil whine this persistent and reached out to corsair to try for an RMA. I spoke to a few different ppl through the RMA thread, finally ending with a team lead who outright denied my RMA stating that this amount of whine is completely normal and that there is nothing they are able to do at all because all of their units whine like this.

Very reliable Solid construction Cables are sleeved and all black/dark grey so the colours are clean

The cables come in a cheap plastic bag, for almost $200, I'd expect a simple cloth bag (like what other companies like EVGA provides) to hold all cables The cables have a stiff section right before the actual plug, so clean cable management is quite hard

Overall a great power supply that will last for at least a decade without issue.
