Pretty looking, But not functional

Strengths:

Good gaming graphics card, Good video editing graphics card, Easily customizable, Suffers GPU sag

Weaknesses:

Poor cooling, Poor support for productivity applications, Bad customer support and RMA from Gigabyte as a whole

Additional Comments:

If you like RGB and having a mini LCD to look at while you game, this is good for you but if you care about thermals, and sound I would recommend the Asus tuff version. As for the 6800 itself, It's a great card for gaming and video editing due to the amount of VRAM it has, but anything other than that I couldn't recommend. *If you own this card and have some know-how around a graphics card I would strongly recommend changing the thermal pads that come stock with this, Just you know don't break it LOL (8-degree difference under load) *Also if you plan on ever making a water-cooled build stay away from this card, there are currently no plates that support this as of writing this.

Excellent Card

Strengths:

No weakness here, sits at a nice comfy 61 degrees while gaming. The other fellow that provided the cooling issue, this was resolved with the proper program to control fan curves. I discovered mine was doing the same until I went into the Radeon software and adjusted the fan curve. These new hi-performance cards have to have that fan activated but user input is needed. Once figured out the card never exceeded the temperature stated above and the wattage hovers at max settings maybe 165-200 watts and at idle temps are 36 degrees celcius. I play in 4k and the card surpassed my old 3080 that I dumped for this card.

Weaknesses:

Just ensure you figure the fan curve out on this card. Use Radeon software and manually adjust your fan curve, also use the RGB fusion to control your lighting. The Gigabyte software to adjust the fan sometimes doesnt work at startup so delete that software and use either Radeon Tuning or something else but dont use both cause they conflict with each other

Additional Comments:

In my findings and of course talking to other owners is that you must manually adjust the fan curves in Radeon Software or something similar but never use both because of the conflicts. Also if you are using Radeon tuning ensure zero RPM is off and advance control is enabled and if you update the driver package ensure the settings are still active. These are very Hi performance Cards like a finely tuned sports car, however everything needs the air flow to make it such. User error is the reason for such a bad review by some enthusiasts take a lesson from an old IT guy thats been doing this for almost 40 years the card is flawless and anyone trying to mine with this should first know how to use the technology and the equipment it comes with. If you are using Linux there is a program call Corectl that will give you the software needed for the fan curve and the options to tune the AMD hardware..These are HOT CARDS but they are not power hungry like the 3080 I had which was pushing 400 watts in the same games

Nice design, Issue with thermal throttling

Strengths:

What's there to complain about, it's a very nice design overall and I like the card very much however it does have a major flaw. Thermal throttling When T junction temperature reaches 92°C.

Weaknesses:

Thermal throttling when T junction temperature reaches 92°C There is a major issue with this cooler design as other cards that I have tested under load never reach 92° and hover in the low 70s. Sapphire RX 6800 even the Gigabyte RX 6800 gaming OC is a much better option.

Additional Comments:

This card is a terrible idea for enthusiast gamers and crypto miners alike because of thermal throttling issues. Buyer beware!
