Strengths:
Overall a great streaming camera. Has a nice wide view so if your space is small you’ll still be in frame. It’s easy to set up and only requires one cord which is nice. Video quality is clean, as expected with a 4K camera, but if you want a higher fps you can drop it down too 1080p at 120fps. Both look great regardless. You can also mount it to a ring light or on top of your monitor which is nice. It also has a swivel mount for adjustments without moving the base.
Weaknesses:
You do have to install software and drivers for the camera to work, however once done you can get rid of the software, except for the “avermedia cam engine” software as that’s what you’ll use to control things like white balance, aperture, ISO, etc. the software is a little finicky but the company has been working to improve it with constant updates. Personally I don’t see this as a deal breaker so long as you have some technology experience/ basic PC skills.
Additional Comments:
In conclusion I’d recommend anyone who wants a compact 4K camera that works when needed and meets/exceeds expectations.

Strengths:
Video quality
Weaknesses:
Requires software and driver setup
Additional Comments:
I bought one of these on Amazon since they ran out of stock at my local Memory Express. Honestly a great video camera. However you NEED to install all the drivers and software to control this camera, out of the box the white balance is and brightness is way too high. The CamEngine software can give you some DSLR like settings you can tweak, once you find the settings that work best for your lighting then it's a fantastic little webcam.

Strengths:
I got this about 5 months ago when the webcams were hard to find. I have been using it constantly without experiencing any problem since. There has been a firmware and software update and I am getting better setting via the software. It works fine with popular meeting software. The ability to tilt and swivel mechanically together with the capability to set several things including zooming in the software together give lots of freedom to a user. I did not have any connectivity issue on several Windows 10 computers.
Weaknesses:
Perhaps the color is a bit off (i.e. rather colder cooler with more blueish tint in it) and lack of auto focus may be rather annoying for those who want to sit back and intermittently showing some objects by bringing them in front of the camera.
Additional Comments:
Overall, good webcam but not an almighty one. Very good for videoconferencing.

So, I thought I'd buy this for my son who likes to stream on Twitch and Discord. First time I connected it, it seemed to work OK. After that, it would display that you were connected to a USB 2.0 port, even though I know I was using a USB 3.1 port. This is actually the second device I've bought. The first one lasted 1 week because it fell off the monitor and the USB C port on the back of the camera got damaged because it's at 90 degrees from the camera unit.
I work in IT. I've worked with computer hardware for 20 years. I confirmed this "use once, then after reboot or disconnect" behaviour on 4 other computers I have. This unit works well "the one time" it works, but once it stops detecting the port correctly, there's no going back. And what's worse, it's basically a brick because it overlays a "connect to USB 3.0" message on the recorded display, so you can't even use it in "degraded mode".
Garbage. Buy something else.
