The microphone isn't great, but that's to be expected for a webcam. The image quality was surprisingly good compared to a Logitech C920 / C920S. So long as you have another microphone to be using, it should work great. PS. The ring light is turned on by pressing your finger on the logo on the white part. Took me a few minutes to figure that out as I don't read manuals.

Picture was ok (not great), but the microphone is unusable and I expected better for the price. While sitting only 2 feet away, people won't consistently hear me and there seems to always be background noise that isn't there (sounds like a bad hiss or bicycle squeaking). I tried increasing the microphone gain in the OS to the maximum using different computers in different locations with no background noise at all, and my voice still wouldn't come through steadily while talking at a normal volume and the underlying noise was always there.
