Bought this laptop two days ago, after much research and shopping around. There are a lot of gaming laptops out there, with even more configurations available. From my research, I believed that the 17.3" Acer Predator Helios 300 came with an all plastic body with a the power adapter that comes out the back of the laptop (Like the 15.6" Acer Predator Helios 300). So for anyone that also thinks this, the lid and the body minus the bottom (plastic bottom) of this laptop has a metal chassis; and the power adapter connects to the left side of the laptop not the back. Aside from these things, everything about this laptop is awesome. The keyboard is nice to type on, and there is a wide variety of colors and patterns available to customize. Can do one solid color, four zone solid color, and five other color patterns. The track pad is a large size, smooth, and clicks, no buttons at the bottom of the track pad. The sound quality of the onboard speakers isn't too bad, for laptop speakers. Another couple of Pros of this machine is that you can upgrade the storage (2 - SSD slots, 1 - 2.5" slot), the memory, and there are plenty of ports to plug your things into. I still have a lot to test/try on this laptop. The major upside is this product is the sale price, and the components you are getting for that price; wrapped up in a very attractive chassis. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a solid gaming laptop.
