Amazing monitor but requires some tuning

Strengths:

- Picture quality is amazing! very vivid colors & deep blacks. But please note, it requires quite a bit of tuning out of the box. Absolutely incredible once tuned. - 240hz refresh rate, I upgraded from a 165hz ASUS monitor and definitely noticed a difference. 10% improvements in reflex and aim tests support this claim. - Single directional menu navigation button. - Haven't noticed any bleeding or haloing, so despite what I have read online, the panel quality appears to be high. - The curve is nice. I was skeptical of the 1000R curve at first, but a curved 32" screen is such an immersive experience. - Price. After buying it, a 32" 2K 240Hz monitor with HDR600 @ $899.99 is completely reasonable.

Weaknesses:

- Some flickering, but mainly limited to certain game menus* (and not in game). But not nearly as bad as most of the reviews online claim. Use high quality and short cables. - Requires tuning out of the box. Tuning is very limited in the the monitor itself. I needed to use Nvidia control panel to further adjust gamma, brightness, colors, vibrance, etc. - The dynamic brightness can be annoying. I disabled it.

Additional Comments:

I'd recommend this monitor, The picture quality is absolutely amazing once it's tuned. The flickering is not nearly as bad as the online reviews claim and seems to be limited moving the mouse around in dark game menus. That being said, I would have given 5 stars if it came tuned better out of the box, and if the minor flickering didn't exist. I have faith that both these issues can be resolved in future firmware updates. I'd say go for it if you can get your hands on one. These are the settings I found to work for my setup. Monitor settings I used: Black Equalizer - (8) Adaptive Sync - (ON) Brightness - (80) Contrast - (75) Sharpness - (60) Color - (RGB 48/50/50) Local Dimming - (Auto) Dynamic Brightness (OFF) Nvidia Control Panel Settings: Brightness - (77%) Contrast - (75%) Gamma - (.84) Digital Vibrance - (60%) Noise Reduction - (15%) GSync - (ON) Image Sharpening - (0.75) Film Grain - (0.00)
