Integrated encryption. They include cables for USB A and USB C format ports on your computer. I have a T5 that I have used for years, with no reliability problems; so far the T7 also has been reliable. Compatible with USB 3.2, 3.1 and 3.0. Probably USB 2.0 also.
The software used to enable your host computer to communicate with the encrypted drive requires the use of a Windows Administrator account. This is terrible in 2021; that kind of incompetent software was typical in 2000 and earlier. So you can use the T7 under a regular Windows account, but you have to always type in an Administrator password to allow the software to run. Competently-written software does not require admin-level access to the computer to run. And the access software is not compatible with the access software for the T5. So I need to have both installed. Why is the T7 software not backward-compatible?
Good, except for the software. Samsung can do better.

Plug into PS4, format as extended storage & set as default storage then see load times drop 25-50%.
USB 3.2 Gen 2 isn't commonly supported yet, even in new computer systems. PS4 definitely doesn't support it.
Breathes new life into a PS4
