Strengths:
-Looks nice with a good fit and finish
-Speakers are fine
-Keyboard is OK but uses a more European layout which can be jarring for those used to a North American layout
-Works alright for basic web browsing
-Battery life was decent
Weaknesses:
-Dim screen; I found myself wanting to turn up the brightness just a touch more all the time only to find it maxed out
-Screen resolution is advertised as 1920x1080 but out of the box the resolution is set to 1536x864 and must be changed manually in the settings to the "native resolution"
-Youtube video stutter badly while running at 720P at both the default resolution (1536x864) and the native resolution of 1920x1080
-Touch-pad seems to only have two settings - too sensitive or numb making using the touch-pad less desirable than using the touchscreen
Additional Comments:
At this price point I expected something better; Sure it feels sturdy and looks fine from the outside but the machines inability to run Youtube videos at even 720P without stuttering every few minutes was a deal breaker for me. If you are set on a chromebook my suggestion would be to save your money on this and instead put it towards the next model up (such as the HP Chromebook x360 14c-ca0030ca). I plan to return mine.
