Good entry level camera

Strengths:

Super easy to use. Set up and go, easily maneuverable.

Weaknesses:

Video quality

Additional Comments:

Over all a good product for the price, does what it’s suppose to and connects without any issues. My only complaint is the video quality, 1080p looks good and in fact should be more than enough but the quality appears very noisy(pixelated). Totally useable don’t get me wrong, but for someone who likes things crisp I am choosing to upgrade. :)

Good quality picture with some annoying flaws

Strengths:

Picture quality is good- just plug and play, no muss no fuss.

Weaknesses:

The mounting system is frustrating- it easily slides out of place. Add to this an ultra-short USB cord that can barely reach my computer, it means the slightest movement will tug the camera totally off the monitor, making it very hard to adjust.

Additional Comments:

Seems good so far, nice quality and easy to use. But take into account some frustrations that will happen due to flawed design of the camera's mounting system, and USB cord.

Cheap but Good for the price.

Strengths:

1080p Video Integrated Microphone Plug and Play

Weaknesses:

No camera settings controls Video quality is grainy under normal conditions.

Additional Comments:

Looks good enough to get the job done but fails to be what I would consider professional. by professional I mean if my boss or University Professor were to use something of this quality I would be unimpressed. Expect lesser quality than a phone.

Works well

Strengths:

Plug and play.... Just plug it in and it works. Nice clean image. Mic is nice and clear. Windows has all the controls you need so once its connected you are good to go,

Weaknesses:

A switch to shut it off would be nice.

Additional Comments:

It works, and does what I want.

Disappointing performance

Strengths:

-picture quality is clean and balanced

Weaknesses:

-mounting clip rubber doesn't grip the monitor as tight or snuggly as I would like to have -USB cable too short and I constantly have to tug the cable to make it sit properly -image freezes and blacked out from the webcam I had (it might or might not happen to you)

Additional Comments:

I basically got a defective one which if you tug on the cable a bit or turn the webcam so it faces left or right, the image freezes. After restarting OBS, it still carries that problem and the webcam wouldn't work even when the LED light is on. This is a very disappointing and poor experience that made me lose consumer confidence in Creative in general. I ended up exchanging it at the Vancouver store and switched to the Avermedia Cam 313 version and I noticed a significant difference. It was like day and night difference. The cord was longer and picture although slightly saturated is quality. Also the clip that sits on your monitor is fully rubberized making for a better feel.

Good camera with one minor issue

Strengths:

The camera is plug-and-play both on Windows and Mac. No extra software needed. As in the previous review, the image quality is really good as long as the lighting is appropriate for the room.

Weaknesses:

After the camera has been plugged in for a while, a couple of times, the white balance got in a bad state of over saturating the entire background to the point where the image is extremely washed out. At that point, the only solution I've had is to power cycle the camera plugging in and out the USB. This will be annoying if your USB plug is not easily accessible, especially for work video conference calls.

Additional Comments:

Would be nicer if it had some software or a hardware button to quickly power cycle the camera, and hence not the 5-star review.

Review of Creative Labs Web Cam

Strengths:

The camera is very simple to install and use, I use it in Teams and it just works !! Its more wide field that I would have thought but the picture is top quality. Lighting makes a difference so in low lighting it will struggle and because there is no software controls you cannot adjust it.. I bought 2 and its great ! Recommend !!

Weaknesses:

No software needed for fine tuning or control.. I am a fan of having software to control the camera but there is none.

Additional Comments:

Overall good would buy again and recommend to friends
