Easy to use, I guess....

Slow. So very slow.

I bought one of these a while ago, thinking that I could use it was a Plex server and it's too slow to stream anything over 720p outside of my network, it just doesn't have the muscle to do the job properly. Network file transfers are also really slow, giving me 10 / 100 Mbps speeds rather than the adventised Gigabit speeds when both devices are connected to the same 2.5Gb Switch. My current plan is to migrate everything back to my old i7 Plex server and install Debian Linux on this thing to see if the problems are actually software. Would not buy again, do not recommend.

Somewhat cheap

1GB RAM is not nearly enough; only provides basic functionality Vulnerable like any other QNAP product

Someone said these were good enough for home use only; its poor for even that.

we bought about 20 devices. during 3 year period 8 device have problems with RAID corruption support can do nothing about it and help us

Suitable for home. However not recommended for business and other important and critical data storage locations!!!
