Strengths:
It's a vertical GPU mount alright. It mounts a GPU very vertically. And it keeps the card back from the side panel so that there's plenty of airflow to keep temps about where they were before, maybe a degree or two difference but nothing to write home about.
Weaknesses:
Installation was not exactly graceful. If you have a big GPU, you are going to have to install it in the mount before it goes into the case, which does not make for a very simple experience. And in my Lancool 215, it took quite a bit of wiggling, and more muscle than I would have expected, to get it to seat in the expansion slots of the case. But that will all depend on your case, GPU and the unit itself.
The only other negative is that it is just PCI-E 3.0, which means some features might not be available to you in this mount. Specifically, resizable BAR or SAM. Those seem to be limited to PCI-E 4.0, and if you absolutely MUST HAVE those features, I'm looking at you Intel ARC users, then this is not the way to go. Better to look at one of the other manufacturer's PCI-E 4.0 cabled solutions there.
Additional Comments:
Not perfect, but still makes a system look great. I would mount a GPU this way again, probably.
