Known bad coolant

Strengths:

Works very well at first

Weaknesses:

Known problems with the coolant cause the microfins in the cold-plate to become clogged over time

Additional Comments:

These coolers have a known issue with the coolant that causes sedimentation to build up in the microfins on the cold plate (and presumably in the radiator channels) that prevents adequate heat transfer from the CPU. MSI recalled the units sold in the US but did not do the same for units sold in Canada. The sealed AIO design makes it very difficult to flush the stock coolant without having to cut or otherwise damage the hoses, and if you're going to replace the hoses and coolant anyways then you may as well build a custom loop.

Works for a couple months

Strengths:

Cheap price often on sale RGB is pretty nice

Weaknesses:

Will need to replace FOR SURE in less than 3 months Installation is a pain

Additional Comments:

I got this AIO as part of a bundle that memory express offered. It came with a 5600x and motherboard. When I opened the box for this AIO the thermal paste was basically rubber and unusable. So I went and bought another thermal compound that was sorted and the whole package worked great for about a month. Temps were low 30s on idle and mid to high 60s on games. After the honeymoon phase of about a month, thats when the temps on the cpu started to creep up. Its been 3 months now since I installed it and already have had to do a deep cleaning twice because the temperatures have been on idle MID 40s and simple tasks like opening a browser shoot the temp up to 70. The best part is the pump makes a very concerning ticking noise (sounds like a hard drive ticking) and this is on start up, everytime. It lasts for 30 secounds and then slowly fades off. TLDR don't buy this AIO just because it was on sale or much cheaper than the other AIO, its not worth it. Your temps will shoot up to mid 40s on idle and even higher during load. Memory express offers no help in the returns or exchanges as soon as you take the plastic off the box.

Avoid for LGA1700

Additional Comments:

Claims to be LGA1700 socket ready. Definitely reviews supporting this, but acquiring one is quite the headache, and it may be worth it to avoid entirely until it's included in the box. Their web ticket will request that you call in (long distance; US). No other options available. I've put in three tickets and called twice. First time their representative seemed confused (What is the offer?), eventually sorted it out and was told I'd get an email. No email 4-5 days later. Follow-up, representative claims no order was put through, will put through for mailout this week. Still no e-mail. Due to memex current policy, AIO's cannot be returned. Avoid and/or assure you get the bracket included in the box.

Great Little Cooler

Strengths:

- Quiet - Easy to Hook up - Looks Great - RGB looks amazing on it. - Pump in radiator so you would have to work really hard to get air into the pump - with this design it gives you many mounting options that you would not have with other Aio;s that have the pump in the block.

Additional Comments:

Came nicely packaged in a sharp looking Box. This thing is so quite , the only way I know its working is how cool it keeps my CPU. Bought this for my 3700x , Keeps it cool even with a moderate overclock. It finished off the look i was going for in my new setup. I'll be building a couple pc's for my two sons, this cooler will be part of each of their builds for sure.

Didn't last

Strengths:

- Pump in the radiator - Quiet. Much quieter than the stock 3700x cooler. This is my first AIO so I don't know how it compares to others. - MSI RMA process has been quite smooth so far

Weaknesses:

- Poor instructions - I don't like the AM4 mounting hooks. They are weak and can break if you are not careful. - Pump didn't last. Started making noise after 6 months. Also sounded like there was air in the system so some of the coolant must've evaporated.

Additional Comments:

Got this cooler bundled with a 3700x. Worked great for 6 months then the pump started making noise. Reading reviews from other sites this seems to be a common thing.

Solid cooler

Additional Comments:

Have it on a B550 with a ryzen 7 3700 and it's doing great. I'm having no heat issues whatsoever, and it stays pretty quiet. I haven't done any overclocking, so I can't speak to it with that, but given it's performance so far I don't see it having any issues.

luv it

Additional Comments:

This was for my second build with my MAG B550 TOMAHAWK and my ryzen 7 3700x. I was surprised with so excellent performance other than that everything was good.
