I'm happy

Strengths:

I thing I have a golden horseshoe up my butt after reading the other reviews of this motherboard. I have two of these, one with a 5600x, 6900xt, 32 gigs of 3200mhz ram, 500 gig WD blue NVME boot drive, EVGA 850 watt PSU. 2nd machine is a 5900x, FTW3 3080ti, 32 gigs of 3200mhz ram, 1tb Nvme (PCIe 4 x 16) and 2nd NVME is 1tb (PCIe 3 x 16), Seasonic 850 watt PSU. The one board is 2 years old now and is still running like a dream, both boards are running really well in their respective system, I have Curve Optimiser and PBO enabled and everything is rock solid. I use my systems a lot for VR so they do get taxed pretty heavily.

Weaknesses:

I wish this board would have more system fan headers, only 2 system fan headers a CPU and CPU Opt header. No bios option to turn off wifi since I don't use it. Otherwise, very happy with both boards.

Additional Comments:

For myself, both boards have been great and trouble free, I actually wanted the non wifi model but that was out of stock at time of purchase, I have wifi turned off via Windows 10 settings. Both my systems run very well, they don't crash, my 5600x will hit 4650mhz and my 5900x will hit 4950mhz on a regular basis. I've run various CPU and GPU stress tests and benchmarks without issues. This is far from being a top tier motherboard but then again, those are priced out to lunch, for myself, I am VERY happy with both my Elite WiFi boards! :)

Not for stability

Strengths:

Works fairly well most of the time

Weaknesses:

Old Wifi 5 Not stable with 4000 MHz RAM Crashes a lot Not a stable platform Died in less than 1 year

Additional Comments:

I bought this motherboard in early 2021 for a Ryzen 5800X build with a 3080 and 32GB Samsung B-Die RAM but this board would never post after enabling the XMP 4000MHZ profile, my friends ASUS x570 ran my RAM at 4000MHZ perfectly off the XMP profile. I have a wifi 6 router and this mobo would cause the whole network to slow to wifi 5; so don't use the wifi. I was really sad when the computer starting crashing not posting or rebooting randomly all the time at stock clocks, I know it has warranty but dealing with that is like licking concrete so I threw it out and got something else. I am running 4000MHz RAM now happily.

Disappointing

Strengths:

Great features

Weaknesses:

Does not work

Additional Comments:

TL; dr: bios is terrible (latest revision), boot issues, does not hold xmp, CMOS resets whenever it feels like it. I started getting disk image checksum errors, and at first thought it was the memory, tested it extensively and that was not it. Then it started to fail waking up from sleep (powered up but non-responaive until power down) Then started taking two rounds to boot Then started not turning on with a power cycle, had to disconnect the PSU for it to reset enough to boot. Of course this happened 7 days after my defective return expired, so now it has to go back to the manufacturer, which means I have to buy another board to keep working, which is a pain. It will not be another one of these ever again. Great when it works, but that is not very often. Sometimes blue-screens me with a memory error, but it's not the memory, it's the mobo dropping the xmp mid-task. Great features in it, priced well, but terrible terrible performance. When searching the net for solutions I found that many of these aorus x570 boards have issues.

Weaknesses:

None that I know of yet

Additional Comments:

It works great. The wifi/Bluetooth works great. Haven't had any problems in the 6+ months that I have owned it

Poor PCIe management

Strengths:

Seems somewhat stable and good looking MB

Weaknesses:

Cannot manage more than a couple of hard drives without going crazy on seeing drives, accessing drives etc. Great problems with setting up dual M.2 slots as it always wants to boot from the wrong drive and acts like the other is just not there. It recognises all the NVMe drives but will only boot from the second one. Once more than 3 sata drives are in the system it does not pickup anymore. I normally have about 8 drives in all and I am lucky if it recognises 4 of them. Raid system is badly broken. Tried to setup a standard 2 drive mirror system and it loaded all drives into the rain wiping out all their partitions. I distinctly did not add more than 2 drives into the raid array. Been doing this for 30 years now and It completely screwed me over. Either my motherboard Sata/NVMe/Raid system is broken on this board or a bad bios. I suspect the bios because different bio's gave different options for the raids and picked up different drives.

Additional Comments:

I would stay away from this one unless you have a simple setup. Gigabyte is normally a good manufacturer along with MSI and Asus but they dropped the ball this time and I see other versions of their high end boards had weak ratings.
