Affordable, low-profile, RAID design - easily upgrades onboard Ultra160 SCSI to RAID
Adaptec's family of zero-channel RAID (ZCR) cards offer the ideal solution for an affordable, flexible upgrade path to advanced RAID. This innovative approach reduces the cost of the RAID controller by eliminating the need for a SCSI chip on the controller.
This low-profile ZCR card connects to a 3.3V 64-bit PCI connector enabled with either Adaptec Embedded RAID Logic (EMRL) or Intel RAIDIOS logic (used with Intel's new modular ROMB designs) on Ultra160 motherboards. Compatibility with multiple ZCR technologies makes the Adaptec 2000S card a logical choice for customers looking to standardize on a single RAID card.
All Adaptec low-profile RAID controllers have a full-size bracket installed on the card. The kits contain a low-profile bracket for use in 1U systems.
