Strengths:
2 or 3 more options than any cheap Netgear router
Weaknesses:
Weak to poor 5Ghz on both bands
Poor coverage
Poor Wifi speed
Does’t cover dead spots
Same old pointless Netgear interface
Additional Comments:
one very expensive box of plastic with tons of useless antennas that does not perform any better than any regular 2 band router, all these crab like routers are a money pit folks.
I bought it to get coverage in my house, this router couldn’t even get me 2 solid bars in my upper level, Wifi speed is horrible on both bands, it does not even support MIMO technology.

Strengths:
A couple extra functions over your plain old router
Weaknesses:
Lots of reported hardware problems. Mine is constantly dropping WiFi but not wired connections. 3 support tickets and yelling at a supervisor later, I was told that I need to pay for the premium technical support in order for them to troubleshoot the device (for the third time) before they would authorize an RMA. Shady business.
Additional Comments:
This router has caused more headache than good. Save your monrey, buy something else.

Strengths:
Fast internet connection
Great home networking with fast transfer speeds
Weaknesses:
Have not found any yet. It does what is needed.
Additional Comments:
Purchased this router to replace another and am very glad I did. Solid performer, very little to do for setting it up, quickly updated the firmware and that was it. Have had no dropouts in internet connection and my file transfers on my home network are much faster (compared to my previous router). If asked, I would recommend this router.

Strengths:
Great looks, good range, has 3 radios for excellent throughput, DD WRT capable, Apple compatible, very easy to setup.
Weaknesses:
Slightly large footprint makes it very awkward to place in an average office, My wife thinks it's ugly and calls it a spaceship which suits me fine :)
Additional Comments:
Exceptional signal strength, in fact it blew away my Asus RT-AC68u for coverage. It integrated and works well in my Apple environment and even does Time Capsule duty with an external drive. Great! Netgear has upgraded the firmware to have adaptable QoS and it works extremely well. This router is intelligent enough to auto route traffic to one of its 3 radio's, streaming HD video & gaming at the same time are now a reality in my large home. It survived the drop test, very well put together Router
