It just works!

Strengths:

Matches claims. Radical! When plugged into a properly powered USB3 port, the ports are USB3. One type A port becomes four. I've had this about a year and forgotten about it because it just works.

Very reliable portable hub

Strengths:

Reliable Small Fast

Weaknesses:

Cable is attached and is a bit short. Not really a problem.

Additional Comments:

Have had this little thing for several months now, using it with my Surface 3 Pro to connect a mouse, a portable WD USB 3 HD, and occasionally a Asus Bluray USB 3 burner. Very reliable, fast transfers and very portable.

Where's the Cable?

Strengths:

USB3. It lights up. I am sure it is quite fast.

Weaknesses:

If I am paying 30 bucks for a device that probably cost about ONE DOLLAR to make....You would think they could spare FIVE CENTS worth of cable to make this sit properly on the surface when plugged in. This device would work fine with a laptop but even then the port you may want to use is located at or near the DVDROM slot. I bought this to extend the ports on an iMac so I don't have to swivel the monitor constantly do swap / plug in card readers or other devices.

Additional Comments:

You can never have too much cable. That's why they invented twist ties or tie straps. To bundle the extra five cents of cable until you need it. If you are using anything other than a laptop you should probably buy another hub that didn't cheap out on the cable.

Awesome

Strengths:

Fast transfer - 2GB in 1 minute, like the indicator light that tells you when something is connected, got it 50% off - should have bought two!

Weaknesses:

So far haven't discovered any
