Strengths:
-cute display on front -excellent door stopping power
Weaknesses:
-not reliable
Summary:
I was trying to use this in RAID 5 with AD integration... I should have checked out their support forums before buying. Fortunately I didn't lose much data as I still had a copy of everything on my older NAS. This is now literally a door stop. It's powered off and holding my door open. Kind of expensive but works well for that. Bought a Synology to replace it and the difference is night and day.

Strengths:
- mac timemachine compatible - afp shares - handles 3tb drives
Weaknesses:
- flakey bootup - raid5 unreliable/useless
Summary:
I bought this with the intention of using raid5 to handle any future disk crashes. I've configured it for Raid5 twice, and both times after some moderate use of it, it crashes and is no longer useable/repairable. The raid volume is no longer recognizable by the device and has to be reformatted - wiping out any data that may have been on it. Proves to be fairly useless to me. The other flakey part of this device is that it doesn't always boot up properly.
