- Strengths:
- Smaller than HDD? No heat?
- Weaknesses:
- VERY slow write speeds. No definite updates to address the issue announced.
- Summary:
- I had purchased the V100 drive before this one and was quite pleased with the speeds. Unfortunately, I missed the firmware update for the V100 that would prevent it from becoming a brick. It was RMAed. I purchased a V200 about a month ago and it was horrible compared to the V100. Incredibly slow write speeds. Kingston is aware of the issue and is trying to get a BETA firmware update out within the next 6 weeks. A V200 was offered to replace the V100 and I declined, voicing my issues with it.
Not recommend to Buy this model

Unstable
- Summary:
- Initially purchased this for a Macbook Pro. Recognized drive and that's about it - constant freezes on install. Installed on Asus G73J instead (Win 7 x64) with success... took three hours to install/update. After a week, system started to get some noticable lag, then started getting BSoD, and then boot failures. Reinstalled... and same a week later. Exchanged for Intel 320 SSD and up and running in an hour doing a fresh install/update - noticable difference.
drive has issues.....

- none

- write speed issue
- Summary:
- drive seems to have extremely slow writes speeds avg at 3 MB/s on a 4k run of AS SSD benchmark, I called Kingston regrading the problem to see how they would resolve the issue and the answer from a level 2 tech at Kingston kindly stated that there is no fix and an new drive replacement will not fix the issues, also the tech says they might never be a fix for this particular model of ssd as it might be a hard ware issue.... stay away until Kingston figure what the engineers are doing
