Strengths:
Powerful - Fast! Boots up in less than 1min (completely) Great System monitoring software, Very simple BIOS to set up (even for first timer). Great tweaking options (OC'ing, system performace adjusting) 2 front USB3 ports(2.5" insert), 2 USB3 rear Front loading Hot Swap drive bay (case) CPU is running smothly at 36 deg C Tons of space for expansion... lots of sata's, more RAM, 3 vid cards, sound card, tv tuner etc...) CPU is running super cool, idles at 35 deg C
Weaknesses:
Zalman Sharks fin case fan (rear exhaust) is a bit loud ,But really moves air. Might go to a better Graphics card.
Summary:
First build is; All purchased at Memory Express (excluding case) Coolermaster 931 Elite plus (c/w ext sata Hotswap HD bay)- Asus P8Z68 Deluxe mobo -Intel i5 core 2500 (3.3 Quad core) (c/w stock fan)- 8gbs of Kingston ram (1600)-WD Velociraptor, 150 gb, 10,000rpm, sata3 (C dr)- Hitachi HD 2TB, 7200rpm, sata3 (storage drive) -Asus 210 silent Video card-Asus DVD RW optical drive - Windows 7 (64 bit) WOW! I can't believe the performance! VERY easy build. No issues with any components, Win7 too!

Superb Future Resistant MOBO

5/5

Strengths:
- Future resistant with PCIx 3.0 and "IVY" ready - Excellent connectivity: Bluetooth, sufficient USB 3.0 and SATA 6 Gb ports, dual LAN - Thoughtful design deals with most of the traditional MOBO installation annoyances. I have done a lot of builds and this was easily the most enjoyable. - Fast - Memory Express support. My first unit had a defective Intel LAN port. While I waited Memory Express confirmed my diagnosis within 30 minutes and gave me a new board which is flawless. 5/5 for them.
Weaknesses:
None in this price range. Of course, you can pay a lot more for a board with even more features and performance but you are still getting a lot for your money with this unit. Possibly the most pleasurable MOBO I have ever worked with. Any manufacturer can produce a dud but my complaint was dealt with courteously and promptly by Memory Express.
Summary:
An excellent MOBO in every respect. Much appreciated how ASUS has dealt with the annoyances we builders have come to accept over the years. Example. Gone are those unpleasant spring contacts on the back panel insert. These always used to snag on something, causing the insert to pop off as you slid the MOBO in. Instead, the ASUS insert has a cushioned conductive pad. The MOBO slides into place with nothing to snag or bend. Much more but we are limited in how much we can post. Best wishes, JH
