SCAM REBATE! Got Screwed twice!!

- Strengths:
- Drive is OK, make sure u update the firmware off the start or it will be buggy!
- Weaknesses:
- Don't expect the rebate! I did Everything they asked and they said that my barcode was not cut properly, then wouldn't respond to my emails. I even remailed it all with a copy of the barcode but they said it wasn't good enough
Then, I got another one for raid 0 and figured they have to give out the rebate sometimes. This time they didn't give me a rebate as it said "could not verify purchase" even thought receipt had the thing highlighted and there was a telephone number to the store.
- Summary:
- I used to like corsair but after seeing how I was handled in this situation I will never purchase anything from them again.
Amazing speed, but limited space

- Strengths:
- Achieved ~500 MB/s read and ~200 write (OS Drive).
Hasn't died in the first month of light use?
Full reboot takes about 45 seconds. The Windows logo doesn't nearly have time to fully form during boot (with Intel 2500k @4.2 Ghz + 16GB RAM).
All but the most demanding software loads and responds instantly.
- Weaknesses:
- Limited storage, but that was self-imposed purchasing this model.
Windows 7 Pro, with default pagefile, hibernation, and system restore, will consume a large percentage of your available storage. Adjustments will be needed to make the most of the space available.
- Summary:
- I'm running Windows 7 Pro right now with all temp and page file on a ram disk to make better use of the available space, and reduce unnecessary disc usage. I also disabled hibernation, and system restore. All this freed up a significant amount of space. Before doing that I had run out of space after installing just a couple of games.
I would recommend this Force GT, but make sure you're able to deal with such limited space. Great for an OS and a couple large games, but not much more.
VERY FAST
Slow drive - Scam rebate - Corsair service is junk

- Strengths:
- Very fast comparing to the average 7200RPM HDD .
That's all she wrote - I really cannot think about any other "strengths" - there are none .
- Weaknesses:
- Slow and absolutely nothing to write home about comparing to other SSD you can get at the same price range both in terms of speed and reliability .
If you buy this drive for the rebate , like I believe many people are doing - FORGET ABOUT IT - the rebate is flat out SCAM , and the customer service by Corsair suck big time , don't expect them to actually help you , their service suck .
- Summary:
- If I knew the Corsair rebate was such a scam I would have definitely gone with a much better drive for the same price such as the Crucial M4 or the Samsung SSD .
Not only these drives are way faster (in reality , not in some faked bogus benchmarks) , they also have much better reliability record then Corsair .
Great system drive

- I love this drive, my computer used to boot up in about 2 min, now its less then 30 seconds. Plus my CPU usage never went over 40%, now it get 99% since its not bottle necking at the hard drive. MUCH fast even when I move files to my USB key
- Weaknesses:
- Small size. I have windows 7 PRO with office and only programs installed on this drive no saved files and I'm over 50% full. But since I don't save files to it I don't anticipate it getting maxed out.
- Summary:
- Great drive, I'm going to use it right until it fails, then simply re-os my replacement drive. I keep all my files and media files on a 3TB Hitachi drive. Computer runs much faster to take advantage of my 6-core AMD processor. Overall, especially for the price just a fantastic buy.
Do NOT!!! use Marvell Controller

- MB is Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3 paired with i2500k at stock for now. I hooked these in raid 0 using the Intel controller and to say I was stuned/amazed/speechless/blown away/OMG/I can't believe it/etc.. is an understatement. Fast FAST!
Tested using ATTO. The first set .5-2.0 was discouraging but then the 4-16 jumped to 200k at 4 and added 100k until 16. From there the read/write seperate. Read at 32/64 is 600k/700k and from there up averages 850K. The write just explodes from 32 up, to AVERAGE!!1000K
- Weaknesses:
- I Initally set these up on a marvell controller(with ALL components updated) and had serious doubts about what I had purchased. The numbers were only slightly better that my old dead sniper ssd. As an experiment, I broke the raid and re established on the Intel controller. DO NOT USE MARVELL.
- Summary:
- This is my first Intel build in many a year (sorry AMD, can't support you anymore, but we had a good time, remember taking our Thunderbird 750 to over 1GHz, those were the days) and so far very happy. Just about 100% scaling is superb. On sale with rebate can't be beat for now.
Amazing Drives

- Quick and quiet! Replaced 2 WD Raptor 10K RPM on RAID-0 which was performing at about 217 MB/sec write and 200 MB/sec read. These new Corsairs in a similar RAID-0 are running at an astonishing 520 MB/sec write and 520 MB/sec read, right out of the box!
One of the drives was dead, but Memory Express replaced it instantly! Great service as always!
Only regret is I shouldn't have chosen 60GB drives, should have gone larger.... with a few games and Win7 Pro 64 installed, I'm almost 50% full!
- Weaknesses:
- Summary:
- So far so good... definitely would recommend switching out to SSD drives now the pricing has come down!
