- Strengths:
- Super fast boot time. I'm never waiting for my computer to do anything. Can't speak on gaming performance as I also bought a new GPU at the same time.
- Weaknesses:
- None.
- Summary:
- Do your research, make sure this is compatible with your current system. For those who are experienced, you should know to find out compatibility issues before you buy. Since this issue is well known, I can't feel any sympathy. DO YOUR RESEARCH!
Also keep in mind, it's not just Corsair who has had issues with compatibility. I have a friend who bought an OCZ (best on the market at the time) and had to go through 3 firmwares before he was able to get it stable.
This one is best bang for the buck!
Fast drive but...

- Strengths:
- Nice and fast. No noise. 7.4 on the Win7 experience.
- Weaknesses:
- You only get 111 Gb. usable space.
- Summary:
- Great drive if you have a newer system. Very fast boot-up.
Good until it stops....

- Strengths:
- Awesome Speeds
- Weaknesses:
- It was a bit bit of a downer when I first bought it with no firmware updates. I was getting freezes at random times, but after the update to 1.3.3. all the issues were gone and now it works perfectly like I expected it to.
- Summary:
- Corsair redeemed itself so I forgive them.
Just remember to update the firmware and everything will be smooth,
then you can go and brag about it in front of your mac and average PCers lol
love it

- Extremely fast drive. Finally i feel like im the bottle neck to my computer rather then the other way around. Early in their life these drives had a bad firmware that was causing issues but since the update a couple months ago they have been rock steady with no issues.
Highly recommended
- Weaknesses:
- Summary:
Great drive, dont put on Marvel or Jmicron sata

- Strengths:
- Great drive even on Sata2 speeds. I average 225mb read/writes.
When i ran it on the Jmicron sata i was getting half of that. Please make sure you dont connect this to a Marvel or Jmicron chipset port. And also make sure AHCI is on before you even turn on your computer.
- Weaknesses:
- None so far
- Summary:
- Great drive. Best BANG for your buck in my opinion and low return/fail rate.
Great upgrade

- Strengths:
- Fast.
- Weaknesses:
- Configure options in OS to ensure long life of the SSD.
- Summary:
- Unlike a previous post, this drive works best on an intel controller. Apparently years experience hasn't netted much for that user. You sir are dumb.
Do not use on a Marvel based controller, if possible.. Put this on ICH10 and you will net the posted performance.
Came with the latest firmware. No BSOD or any other issues for that matter on a Z68 chipset (again, on the ICH controller).
Do yourself a favor and buy two to max out the read speed on SATAIII (around 700mb/.s) in raid.
Great SSD

- Strengths:
- - Fast.
- Had Firmware 1.3.3 at time of purchase, no update needed.
- Works fine with Marvell PCIe 9128 controller.
- Construction and feel of the drive is very solid.
- Weaknesses:
- - None so far
- Summary:
- I bought this drive in November of 2011 and has worked flawlessly for me ever since.
Windows 7 64 bit installed with no issues or extra drivers needed.
Drive did not reach posted speeds in Crystal Disk Mark test. However, this would be due to the limitations of the on board Marvell controller not the drive.
Motherboard used in CDM test was a Asus P6X58D-E
Read 410.2 Write was 302.1
ACHI Mode
Great SSD - it will transform your system!

Phil from Edmonton writes:
- Strengths:
- Purchasing and installing an SSD will be the largest performance boost you will ever notice compared to any individual PC upgrade. The Corsair Force GT performs like discribed but it has revived negative criticism (like other high performance SSD's due to people not doing their homework in educating themselves in the drive and proper installation).
If you use this drive as a PRIMARY drive (meaning OS drive) READ: between 450mb/s to 500mb/s WRITE: between 150mb/s to 200mb/s is normal.
- Weaknesses:
- The weakness is the person who installs it incorrectly and complains about problems or speed not as specified. Top speeds of 500+mb/s read and write are under lab conditions and drive is tested as a non primary or as a logical drive.
- Summary:
- To get best performance you need to:
1 - enable AHCI in bios
2 - enable TRIM in windows
3 - turn off auto defrag and a few other drive maintanece operations in windows (I'm leaving this homework for you to find - don't be lazy, google it, that's what the Internet is for)
4 - update bios as needed and drive controllers.
5 - Enjoy!
Other note: I have an AMD machine with ASUS mobo using Marvell controllers. I did not do a clean install, I used Acronis Disk Director to clone - best $50 spent on rig.
