- Strengths:
- - FAST
- Quiet
- No heat
- Weaknesses:
- - None that I've noticed so far.
- Summary:
- I've had this drive for about 5 days in my Lenovo v570. It replaced a Momentus XT hybrid drive and I couldn't be happier. The fan on the laptop rarely comes on and the laptop is essentially silent! Boot times with the XT used to be around 28 seconds, with the Pyro it's 15seconds from the time I hit the power button according to Lenovo boot optimizer. I get about 20mins more battery time as well.
Great little drive, especially when you consider the price!

- Strengths:
- Easy install, runs cool, consumes less power, W7 boots up in under 10 seconds, never a hicup, all things you want in a laptop drive. Patriot memory has server me well for years and thats why I decided to go with the Pyro SSD and I haven't been let down. Better boost to performance than adding system memory.
- Weaknesses:
- Need more room than the 240 Gig version I have. Is there going to be a 512 Gig any time soon?
- Summary:
- People complaininng about stutter should look for the real issue this happens rather than blaming an SSD drive. Like their memory products, Patriot has created a rock solid SSD product that compliments their product line. No I dont work for nor am I affiliated with the company, I'm simply very pleased with the product and have had the opportunity to use three different manufacturers SSD dives, all of which did have issues and all of which were purchsed at almost the same time. Will buy again.
An expensive waste

- Strengths:
- Fast shutdown time and easy installation.
- Weaknesses:
- Severe stutter problem. That is my system would seem to lockup for about 30 seconds quite often then resume normal operation.
Went to Patriot website and installed new firmware. Lockups are now worse, HDTune reports CRITICAL HD TEMPERATURE, of 128 degrees, even at a fresh start from sitting off all night. Ie. All components at room temperature.
BSOD if my laptop tries to wake from sleep or hibernation.
- Summary:
- I put this drive in a Dell Latitude E6500,
then installed a fresh win 7 64-bit. No other software.
Complete waste of time and money.
