- -Faster all round than previous versions. Faster file transfer, faster processor for running utility computing/media servers. -Included functionality for FTP, NFS, Time Machine emulation, DLNA/UPNP server, backup both local (disk to disk) and workstation. (Multiple workstation backups will require software purchase). Current beta software includes Amazon S3 backup application. -Add on's - programs for blog server, Squeezecenter, music streaming, and picture viewing.
- Weaknesses:
- - Poor add on documentation. -Can't move disks from other Dlink devices without formating them.
- Summary:
- Easy to set up. (just remember to turn on LLTP so Windows machines can find it). Compatability built in for some Apple uses. Runs faster and cooler than the 323. DLNA/UPNP client works - it does not transcode yet though. Add ons seem to work OK (I have Squeeze Center installed) as long as you can figure them out without much documentation.
