Strengths:
VERY low power usage. I installed this in my girlfriends netbook which now runs much faster and the battery power last way longer. She can flips screen and print and do everything faster then she could before.
Weaknesses:
Its a slower hard drive, but for a low powered netbook it didn't matter what I installed.
Summary:
I've noticed a lot of bad reviews on this and if anyone is going to buy this drive YOU HAVE TO UPGRADE THE FIRMWARE ON THE DRIVE!!! There are numerous problems with the firmware the drive ships with. Once you do that upgrade you are home free.

Poor Lifetime

Strengths:
Fast
Weaknesses:
Don't expect it to last very long.
Summary:
Very quick, both in accessing data, and lifetime. I would suggest to avoid OCZ, I will from now on.

Firmware-update fixes all!

Summary:
OK, some googling revealed that a simple firmware upgrade fixes the OCZ problems. Go to: http://www.ocztechnology.com/ssd_tools/OCZ_Vertex_Plus/ and follow the instructions. I upgraded the firware of our 4 OCZ drives from 3.02 to 3.55 and since then no problem anymore. Even have an operating system running on one smoothly. If you know how to update a BIOS, then this is drive gives you a great GB/$ ratio. If you dont or just want a drive to work from the beginning, go for another drive.

Strengths:
one of the cheapest SDD drives of this size
Weaknesses:
unreliable - randomly 'forgets' all data unsuited to be used as drive for OS
Summary:
I bought 4 drives (to do heavy computing and data manipulation on them) and boy do i have problems! From one second to the other it fails, ie forgets all data (ie unaccessible) and can only be revived by a reformat. Technically the drive seems to be fine again after that. No idea what causes this, but heavy usage seems to provoke those failues (therefore its perfectly unsuited for holding the OS). Even for short term storage absolutely dangerous! Terrible faux-pas from OCZ

not reliable

Strengths:
Fast, but all SSD's are fast.
Weaknesses:
2 units died on me within 1 year. My computer would crash and I'd have to reinstall windows. Then it wouldn't fully install windows and gets stuck at 50%. i brought it back and mem express had the same issue and couldn't reinstall windows on it anymore. After a week they had replaced it. It happened again within 3 months.
Summary:
I was fed up with this product and bought an intel SSD as they are supposed to be the most reliable. Reliability over speed anyday. It doesn't matter how fast it is, if it fails on you. I looked up the failure rates of SSD's and of course after 2 of mine failed, I found out these have one of the highest failure rates out of all SSD's. I wouldn't use one of these if someone gave it to me for free. Save headache and spend it on a reliable drive. These OCZ's are garbage in my opinion.

FAIL

Strengths:
Fast little 60gig drive that fits windows and all my important applications like office. Boots fast and runs my programs fast... for about 3 days.
Weaknesses:
ERRORS LIKE MAD! I read up on these drives and they have serious issues with corrupting files. One day it will be great, the next Zune is all messed up, and Google chrome can't load web pages. Then you just keep getting blue screens, especially if you try to restore.
Summary:
I'm very glad I bought the no-hassle return plan with this dud.
