- Strengths:
- The easiest cooler I ever installed. Lightweight, quiet, easy to install, great price.
- Weaknesses:
- None really, may be difficult to install if you have oversize ram heat-sinks.
- Summary:
- Entire install took about 5 minutes, start to finish, with AMD 8120, now runs 5-7 degrees cooler with no noise.
The best

- Strengths:
- Compatible with many sockets, big, amazing airflow of 64 CFM with little to no noise, thick aluminum on heat sink for better heat transfer, blows air onto the mainboard which cools everything down.
- Weaknesses:
- no PWM fan (quiet anyways, don't need it, run it full sped for best results!) - Shouldn't be a weakness.
Needed to disassemble motherboard to install
- Summary:
- Best dang cooler I have seen. with i7-2600, I can see a difference of 40 degree difference running overclocked at full load versus using the cheap stock cooler. I'd buy this one again, but it is so compatible with so many different socket types, I likely won't need to buy another one when I upgrade!
Brings peace of mind knowing that cool components will last longer.
Strong and quiet

- Strengths:
- Ability to cool unbelievably!
Cools motherboard as well as CPU - Blows towards motherboard.
Only 1200RPM (nine blades) - Quiet, yet is able to move an amazing amount of air.
- Weaknesses:
- Complete computer dis-assembly required for install. - Time consuming
Easy for wiring to get tangled into it / No fan blade protector.
HUGE FAN - tough to get screwdriver on motherboard mounting screws and fan connectors on mobo (tight)
- Summary:
- i7-2600K with Asus P8Z68-VPro / 16gb ram
Overclock full load with stock cooler: 3.8ghz @70C, 4.2Ghz @90C, 4.5Ghz (bluescreen)
Overclock with Noctura: 3.8Ghz @ 35C, 4.2Ghz @40C, 4.5Ghz @45C (stable). 4.6Ghz will bluescreen unless CPU voltage is increased. Motherboard temps decreased slightly in bios w/Noctura, but IC's are noticeably cooler to the touch while in operation!
Cleaned up my PC wiring, now looks fancy and peace of mind running cooler and more reliably.
Uber Quiet

- Strengths:
- Very very quiet
The mounting system (although it has many steps) it works well.
Includes two low voltage adapters to reduce speed/noise
Good clearance for adjacent parts
i5 2500k under load went from 85°C on the stock cooler to 50°C on this one with the low voltage adapter. Processor sits at about 35°C on idle.
- Weaknesses:
- 3 pin fan connector, not PWM controllable. (You can buy modulators to fix this little issue. I ordered this one, waiting for it to arrive http://www.sunbeamtech.com/PRODUCTS/Rheosmart/pci.html).
- Summary:
- Almost perfect, just wish it was a PWM capable fan.
