Cooling Power

- Strengths:
- OC'd my 2600k @ 4.5GHz, at idle runs at 30 deg. C. Under 100% Load for 30 minutes Temperatures never went above 60 deg. C , although, my core temperatures were reading temps around 65 dec C while under 100% at 30 min. Stayed stable. (I have a lot of extra heat coming from my OC'd GPUs so all air is exited out the rear panel or goes up through the 2x rad fans > rad > 2x 200mm fans, so that hotter air passing through the rad might be the cause of not being able to run as cool)
- Weaknesses:
- Not sure about the stock fans, I opted for 2x green 120mm LED fans. I found that with both fans receiving the power directly from the pump controller, 1 fan (I switched power port and same thing happened to the second fan) would spin right down. not sure if that's a feature of this cooler, so I have one fan hooked into my main board, and the other off the power on the pump. Kinda thought I would be able to keep it lower than 55 deg C. Also, I can hear a little gurgling coming from the pump.
- Summary:
- Overall, not bad, needed to lift the MB in order to get to the get in the back mounting bracket, even though the back of my case has an access panel at the CPU mount. Depends on your mobo/case. Going to try a different config to see if I can exit out some of the hotter air before it passes through the rad.
Amazing

- Best CPU Cooler you can get. By Far.
My 1055T OC'd to 4.2GHz runs at 19*C Idle and maxes out at 38*C on the lowest pump speed setting.
- Weaknesses:
- A bit loud when you turn the stock fans up. Replace the fans if you want them quieter.
- Summary:
- Amazing product.

Hydro H100 Extreme CPU Cooler from Legal, AB writes:
- Strengths:
- Self contained all in one water CPU Cooler.
- Weaknesses:
- Requires more clearance than you expect. Ensure you read the dimensions and confirm you have the required space within your case before purchase. Note: if you have and ANTEC 1200 it will not fit without physical modification of the case (hacksaw style)
- Summary:
- Good quality self contained liquid CPU cooler. Make 100% sure it will fit in your case, even a super large case may not work due to configuration.
coooooool

- Overclocked my i7 3930K to 4.6g and idles around 40 deg. C. Max load it runs at 52 deg. C. This was on the low setting. At high setting under load it never got above 43.
- Weaknesses:
- none
- Summary:
- Installed in the NZXT Phantom case and found that I only needed it to run on a low setting due to its incredable efficiency.
Love it

- Strengths:
- Quiet. I live in a studio apartment, and have overclocked to 4.5 Ghz, temps are reasonable at full load (45-50 C) and the fan is quiet enough to be unnoticeable. I bought this to have vertical temperature venting, without a 100 pound cooler bending my motherboard. It does just that.
- Weaknesses:
- Only way to control the speed of the fans without a $100 part is to use the button inside the case. This replaced a V8 which had a pci bracket for fan control. I miss that. If you buy this make sure you have the room above your motherboard, the pipes are supposed to come out on the left side of the radiator (with reference to the motherboard) in a standard atx install so keep that in mind.
- Summary:
- To the person with the "moving parts" review - if you are worried about reliability buy something else. This does have a 5 year warrantee.
Installed in a centurion 590 case (the one with two 140 mm fan ports in the top) and it barely fits. I had to mount it off center so that it fits around my motherboard.

- Strengths:
- Low profile and very light, almost to light. Easy to install and does not damage your motherboard from weight.
- Weaknesses:
- A normal CPU cooler has one moving part, the fan. These things have at least 3. 2x fans and the pump which as 3-6 moving parts. The pump is not silent it sounds like a cheap fish tank filter motor. So you are using more power to power more fans and a pump, have more noise, water and still get worse cooling than a big old CPU cooler. I agree there is a place for these things but they are not prime time yet and really over priced.
- Summary:
- It's average. Watch out when you screw the bolts into the rad though the fans.
Best closed loop water cooler if you have the room.

- Strengths:
- Closed loop requires no maintenance. Very low CPU temps. Easy to mount both the rad and the block. Low permeability hoses means no evaporation. Looks sweet. Controls the fans in any one of three ranges. Stock Dow Corning TIM is good stuff. Can control up to 4 fans. Compatible with the Corsair Link Commander (coming soon).
- Weaknesses:
- Requires a large space for mounting. Low permeability hoses are stiff. Large block can cause some problems with capacitors that may be adjacent to the CPU forcing you to turn the block to another orientation. Controls the fans in three ranges instead of one long range. Must open the PC case to select another range (button is on the block).
- Summary:
- The newest coolers from Corsair, the H80 and H100, are just awesome. Nothing's perfect, but these come close. They don't perform quite as well as a custom water loop, but outperform the best air coolers. They require no maintenance at all and are backed by a great company. The H100 slightly outperforms the H80 by only one or two c, so if you don't have room for the H100 the H80 is a great alternative. I dropped 7c moving from a H70 to a H100 in my o/c rig. Don't replace the TIM with AS5.
