- Strengths:
- - Amazing speed
- Increased battery life
- Weaknesses:
- - None that I have faced in over 2 months of use
- Summary:
- This is a fantastic deal for any computer. It will increase the performance of your computer by leaps and bounds. I had a really decent MacBook Pro, and installed this hard drive myself (very easy to do) and it blew my previous hard drive out of the water. Regardless of windows or mac, the bootup times are under 10 seconds and shut down takes maybe 3 seconds. Opening any program is nearly instantaneous. You will not regret this decision.

- Strengths:
- -5 to 7 second boot time. For a 4 1/2 year old Lenovo T500 Centrino 2, 8 GB RAM is running better than new.
-Cheap and effective alternative to purchase a brand new laptop.
-Works create with Clonezilla
-Windows Experience Index is rate 7.7 vs 500 GB Seagate 7200 rpm is rate 5.9
-PC benchmark was as expected motherboard is SATA II 253 Mbps read/write. SSD SATA. SATA II is not cheaper that SATA III so recommend finding a SATA III
-No heat
- Weaknesses:
- - Rate at 240 GB and 223.57 GB realistically shows up running Windows 7 Ultimate, that only leaves me 120 GB for pictures and videos is ok. Got a 64 SDHC connected all the time to compensate for extra space.
- Summary:
- Guerilla style performance for $230, if it last more than 2 years it's worth 5/5
OCZ has issues

- Strengths:
- The drive was easy to install and only took a couple minutes to get my BIOS to boot to it. Booting up is nice and fast once my BIOS was done. My BIOS takes about 40 seconds to find everything, then Windows boots in 14 seconds.
- Weaknesses:
- It has issues. My first drive would disconnect itself from the SATA controller around three days after booting. This caused blue screens of course. I had it replaced within the 30 day window for another one. This one disconnects itself about 3 weeks after booting, again causing blue screens. How does one prove that it's flaky if it takes 3 or weeks to fail? This issue is talked about on the OCZ forums and could be firmware related.
- Summary:
- It's a very fast drive and would work well for those who do shut down their computer's nightly. The drive supports TRIM, but the Marvel 9138 SATA 3 controller on most mother boards does not. You need to plug it into the SATA 2 controller if you want TRIM.
