- Strengths:
- What can I say? One word "FAST"...
Install games, programs, and load everything in seconds...
Quiet, no moving parts
Bring my battery life up...
It beats my WD Scorpion Black 2 x 500G in raid 0 that came with the GT680R. 7.9 in windows experience index vs 5.9 with the WD drives in Raid 0...
- Weaknesses:
- Expensive...that is about it...
- Summary:
- I brought it for $249.99 with the price match to NCIX $259.99.
I will get another one next time to do a raid 0 in my MSI GT680R
Can't take the heat, get outta the kitchen.

- Strengths:
- Amazing speed, Win7 installed in 16 minutes. Reboots from desktop back to login screen in 15 seconds.
Installed in an Asus G73 with no issue, SATA 3 speed verified.
- Weaknesses:
- Firmware flash must be performed while drive is secondary and BIOS flash to 2.09 was necessary for stability.
- Summary:
- If you can't handle ensuring that you're using the most recent motherboard BIOS and drive firmware, stick to using conventional hard drives.
This drive is absolutely amazing once configured properly but most people have one issue and dismiss it as non-functional. RTFM people.
Basically, if you know your stuff, buy this drive, if you're a n00b then buy a Maxtor 5400rpm and shut up.
Blazing fast... if you like BSOD

- Strengths:
- The Vertex 3 MIOPS is crazy fast...go to anandtech for a 120gb review. The drive performs comparable to a 240 gb drive due to the extra die located in this unit.
- Weaknesses:
- Expensive.
My drive catastrophically failed in 2 weeks. Losing over 8 hours of work.
OCZ RMA process is terrible!
OCZ still has not acknowledged a problem with its sandforce 2200 controller
- Summary:
- I switched this drive out for an Intel 510. Sure the v3 MIOPS kills all of the benchmarks, but you cant put a price on reliability for a hard drive.
