- Very handy to have for cloning drives. Extremely fast reads and writes. I was able to write 800GB of movies to a 2TB Seagate 5400rpm drive in an hour. On USB 2.0, that would have been days.
The power adapter is a standard 4pin Molex with a switch on it as well! Very convenient to have to test other devices such as fans and water cooling systems.
I highly recommend this adapter to anyone who has USB 3.0.

Used it to upgrade my mac mini hard drive and it worked very well. TD had similar units for $100.
only issue would be that if you needed to keep the external hard drive working for more than a few hours you would need to figure out some way rest the drive etc. But, that didn't matter to me.
