Needs more work

Strengths:

-The ability to mount ISOs and boot from them is great and new
-eSATA connectivity. You can practically install an OS and use it without feeling it's slow in comparison with an int. HDD OS
-Dual mode feature lets one boot from the device either as an ext HDD or a DVD-ROM
-Can be used purely as an external 2.5 HDD enclosure

Weaknesses:

-You can use the ISO feature only with NTFS. You can also use it with FAT32 but with ISO file size limitations and only after you change the firmware
-The bootable ISO image is very slow to boot from, very disappointing!!
-The eSATA & USB cables that Zalman threw in the box with the enclosure are a joke. They are so short they are impractical to use
-There is no PC software that manages the device. We are stuck with the small LCD screen that is sort of obscure to navigate through

Summary:

As a device offering the ability to boot from ISO images it is great and warrants the price.
Zalman could do with some future improvements though.
