Best router I have owned so far

Strengths:
Good signal range Sleek, but powerful Two usb ports! Giagabit / Dual-band Consistent transfer speeds
Weaknesses:
Base that attaches to router does not feel as sturdy as it could be, but still pretty good. Ethernet port lights look a little too bright and reflect off the shelf in my office. Besides those none!
Summary:
Very good router for the price. far superior product than the 2 and a half year old dlink it was replacing. This router has been very reliable so far, better signal, speed, dual band is a huge plus now that I have a few 5GHz wireless N devices. Services like Netflix seem to actually load a bit faster than before. And file transfers have been a bit faster than with previous router. Firmware does not seem to be completely stable. But looking past that, overall this router is definitely worth it.

Exceptional

Strengths:
-Easy setup even if done manually! -VERY reliable! -Nice feature set for standard router even for power users! -Great design! -Great range!
Weaknesses:
-none so far - long term reliability remains to be seen.
Summary:
Fantastic purchase for finicky client. I was impressed, she was impressed... Again, the feature set included with this router is great! Plenty of settings and features from Admin panel and easy setup. Reliability is the only thing left to test and only time will tell, until then, i'm recommending this router as a must have replacement or new.

Amazing Router

-Totally simple to setup -Extremely Stable and very fast!!
Weaknesses:
NONE!....So far :) -Little pricey but worth it!!
Summary:
I've been a faithful Dlink user for years. I recently had an issue with my Dlink 825 that decided to die... Which i still had time left on my IPR(In Store Replacement) they tested it and gave me a brand new one. So enough of the old now with the Asus...it was the simplest setup I've ever had with any router...ever!!! It runs everything like a charm!! My wifes laptop that was having connection issues with the 825 runs better than ever now. Great Router Period!!

Strengths:
Hi throughput and low cost.
Weaknesses:
The VPN support doesn't work well. Read reports on SmalletBuilder. If you want to use this router for access to say your work's network from home, you're out of luck. You can do it but you have to diable the hardware NAT which slows the performance. The documenations is very poor. The router frimware also seems unstable.
Summary:
I would look for a more stable product. If you need VPN definately go with another router.

the best router

This is my 4th router. I was surprised how easy it was to set it up. No installation of software required. Just plug it , pick the name of your SSID, and password. That is it!!! All my previous routers were way more difficult to set up. Also all my wireless devices got connected to the network without problems and additional tune ups. Last but not least, the router is very compact and looks very nice.
Weaknesses:
In use for several days, no cons so far.
Summary:

Great Router - Would Recommend

Looks Plug and Play Dual band Admin Page 2 year warranty
Weaknesses:
None yet
Summary:
I came from a Linksys WRT160N, which after 8 months, decided that I would not use the WiFi aspect of it. LAN would give 25MBps internet speed, but WiFi was 0.5MBps This router was so fast to set up, the USB ports are great (already sharing an 8GB stick). They have updated firmware to allow a 3G stick to share it's internet. I chose ASUS, simply for the fact that my desktop mainboard, an ASUS, which is 6-7 years old now, has worked flawlessly.

Strengths:
Looks good
Weaknesses:
Disfunctional with firmware 1.0.1.7c when using the virtual server features.
Summary:
I really wanted to give Asus another try... I wish I had not. If you just need a basic wireless router for home use you should be fine but if you want to do port forwarding don't get this.

Loving It

Great to look at
No flashing lights to annoy you
It just works
Good Wifi Range
Weaknesses:

I hear that it is not so good for VPN's but that does not affect me but keep it in mind if that is what you want.
Summary:
Exchanged a Netgear for it after the Netgear was losing connection while in Steam Multiplayer games (Seems like a common problem according to forums)

I am loving it so far, no issues at all
