Comment on Dave's posting. If you have that many drives in a RAID, make sure you have proper capacity to spin up the drives. Don't forget that "spin-up" is where your drives consume the most power, and if you don't have smart raid that can stagger the spin-up, you will burn out your power supply. You should consider using the Corsair PSU finder to help rate-out your system requirements: http://www.corsair.com/learn_n_explore/?psu=yes

LOUD

Strengths:
Power output seems to be good enough, gtx 570 oc'ed and quadro 3700 with amd 1100t oc'ed and stable for 24/7 work. Cords are nicely wrapped and are long enough for my HAF 922 case. RMA was very painless.
Weaknesses:
Reads about 35-40 db at system idol using an industrial sensor. Advertised at 25 db so don't know why it is 4 times louder. It seems that the fan is always on max.
Summary:
First one I bought was to loud so RMA. Just got the second one and it is the same. I have it bottom mounted with the fan facing down to carpet floor and I still walk away to answer phone calls or people notice the noise. One star because the noise is unacceptable.

Solid PSU for the price

I have a RAID system with 8 HDD's, but otherwise a fairly simple system. After replacing defective memory last year, I experienced continued hanging of programs after a decreasingly short period of time - usually about an hour to several hours. This disrupted the RAID with the relatively frequent power-off's. Increasingly over months this became worse and worse, until finally I couldn't power-up at all after a hard reset. Power supply was causing all this; now just out of warranty...
Summary:
I may just have had a lemon
