- I initially was drawn to the Seagate MomentusXT which was great in terms of speed and function, however after periods of extended use, the vibrations from the drive were irritating my wrist. I tried this WD and have been happy since. I have used many Seagate and WD drives and can only conclude that Seagate drives are quieter - but produce more vibrations, WD drives are louder but without the bad vibes. YMMV

- -The Speed that this drive accesses information in comparison to the 2.5 inch 5400 RPM WD Drive is very notable, it is a big factor when trying to maintain an old laptop while increasing storage space. -Three year Limited Manufacturers warranty is a Bonus
