Strengths:
Easy hook-up, remote control, 5 inputs
Weaknesses:
Lights are a little bright
Summary:
A great little switch that I have had zero issues with. Wish I could find a digital optical switch of the same configuration.

I don't see the flaws...

Strengths:
-Easy to use.
-Optical output works flawlessly with DTS and Dolby 5.1
-Remote works fine and is simple
-Compact
Weaknesses:
-Very bright LEDs
Summary:
I don't see what the fuss is. It outputs 1080p to my projector perfectly fine and the optical SPDIF output works very well. I've had it for a few weeks and have had no issues whatsoever. I would recommend this product to anyone who knows how to operate basic electronics.

Total Crap

Weaknesses:
Everything
Summary:
Total crap product. Lights are too bright, and nothing worked.

Tried connecting my ps3, my Motorola PVR and my Computer, and the only one that worked was my computer. When i tried each device independently in the switch, the computer remained the only one that worked. Couldn't get picture from my HD PVR Cable box, OR my ps3.

Absolute Garbage item.

Does not perform

Strengths:
Compact size, front HDMI port
Weaknesses:
Did not output 1080p for more than a few hours; did not switch automatically to an active channel as advertised, LED in front of unit are bright enough to read by, and are disturbing to anyone in a darkened home theatre, remote is IR, so any object placed in front of the switch to block the disturbingly bright lights will also block the remote signal
Summary:
Hooked up a laptop media server and a Blu-ray player. Configured CCC and output 1080p to my projector. Played one dvd from the blu-ray onto my Ae4000u projector. Worked perfectly. The next evening, when the devices were powered up, the projector received no recognized signal from the blu-ray player. Laptop signal was only received in 720p; when output at 1080p image was pink and blue.
Removed cables from Bytecc HDMI switch, connected directly to projector, and problems ceased.
