Strengths:
Easy set up. Plug and Play. 4 ports on both Adapters. Can connect 4 devices either end.
Weaknesses:
None I can see.
Summary:
This is so much easier than having to run wires from one side of the house to the other. Great for HD streaming from router to WDTV. No lag or buffering. Streams 1080P no trouble at all from USB connected HDD, plugged into router upstairs. Getting 4MB/s transferring files to WDTV from PC. Not blistering speeds but more than adequate for what I want. Sure beats having to go downstairs and unplugging the HDD and going upstairs to transfer files. well worth the money.

Technology at it's best!

Strengths:
-Easy to Install -Instant Connectivity -As fast as hooking up to your ISP direct line -4 ports per unit -Encryption -Low profile and small space requirements
Weaknesses:
Haven't found any yet.
Summary:
Best bang for the buck. Works great and easy to both install and use. Encryption is automatic so it's one less thing you have to worry about.

It really works!

Strengths:
Good speed (faster than wireless), lots of extra port, extremely easy setup.
Weaknesses:
Can't think of any.
Summary:
I basically agree with the other positive reviews posted thus far... I had heard mixed things about other brands of powerline networking devices. I haven't actually tried any others, but the Western Digital kit delivered in spades. Works great for networking computers in separate rooms of my condo. Very happy with this purchase!

Beats wireless hands down

Strengths:
Super easy to set up, recognized on a Linux folding box no issues at all. Compact. Cheaper than router+ receiver card Stable
Weaknesses:
Not free
Summary:
Bought this to connect a SR2 folding box running Linux that would regularly lose contact with router. This knocked the heck out of my ppd due to the inability to connect. A fellow forum member suggested powerline ethernet and I am glad he did, for some reason I never even considered it. I plugged in the units, (did not use the included cd for anything, is it even needed?) and the computer recognized the connection right away @ 100 mb/s.

The best one out there

Strengths:
Excellent speed and easy setup.
Weaknesses:
Can't buy individual units only a set of two.
Summary:
Looked at a few Powerline devices, but I wasn't impressed with any. After reading the reviews here I thought I would check this out and I'm glad I did. Hooked up the first unit in my basement by my DSL router and the second two floors up in a bedroom. Speed tests show that its access to the internet is as fast as my LAN lines. I should note my wiring is relatively new., but if you are looking for a wiring solution that avoids WiFi then this is it.

I was skeptical

Just works
Extremely easy to configure
Weaknesses:
None
Summary:
I live in a 30 year old highrise condo and had numerous wireless issues. I tried this and I am now getting 120-170 Mbps between my two systems

It works - plain and simple

Strengths:
Plug it in and you're done.
Good signal strength.
Weaknesses:
Too short a power cord.
Summary:
Tried netgear before - not that good. Opened the box and plugged it in. This is the best unit of all. Took more time walking up the stairs from my downstairs router than too turn on the system and be on the net.
Waiting for them to go on sale again so I can dump the wirless upstairs and hook up all Pc's without running cables.

Better than expected!

Strengths:
Very good signal strength
Plug and play set up
4 network ports
Weaknesses:
Rather short electric cord
Setting 3 or more may be tricky and signal bandwidth is reduced
Summary:
The best signal strength so far. I have used D-Link and Netgear power line before. With the same setting and on the same wire, this one outperforms them by far. I can get 170Mb with this one, while the other two were giving even weaker signal than ordinary wireless. Having 4 lan ports is quite handy and allows connect media player, HTPC and Blu-ray player directly to it. Does not use that much electricity either.
