WD will not confirm or deny 3D operation in future updates but one would think with the 1.4 HDMI.
No USB 3.0. - Summary:
- Purchased Patriot Box Office to save money, realizing cost of HD, time invested on figuring how to access my pc past Patriot login, my time and money would have been much better spent investing in the Live Hub originally.
For those of you still trying to get past the login on the Patriot, I finally read to uninstall Windows live Essentials till I got it working, good luck with that!!!

GUI is elegant and easy to use.
Video quality is good, the device is very good at exposing poor looking & sounding source material. Works best with higher quality rips.
Setup was simple and straight forward.
Larger remote is a nice bonus. I used to lose the remote for it's predecessor religiously. - Weaknesses:
- Poor documentation.

Netflix Canada works with latest firmware (with highest HD setting from Netflix account)
Cisco wireless usb stick - works amazing with my Cisco N router
Get Full HD streaming from my desktop pc over wireless
Local Weather setting is great with time and temperature comes up - Weaknesses:
- None major so far and have had it running for 4 months
Copying files via the wireless network to the internal HD can be slow - Summary:
- If you have a collection of digital movies, songs and pictures you want on your TV easily in HD without the need for a PC plugged in this is a great buy. With Netflix now working for Canada with the latest firmware this is a good buy. The internal terrabyte driive is great to have. With the ability to have wireless (via a cisco usb stick) as well as wired networking, extrenal usb, streamning as well as being able to connect to NAS drives its great. I would say this is worth buying.
Questionable Purchase

Marginal Video quality
$10.00 more than MSRP on Western Digital Canada web site.
No ability to step by frame
No codec for AVI
No one button zoom, you have to pause, delve deep into the menu and then turn on zoom. - Summary:
- The total lack of useful documentation is simply unforgivable.
All that is supplied is a quick hookup guide explaining the different jacks.
In short, a very poorly designed product.
Great versatile solution

Lacks Netflix Canada option - Summary:
- Took some time to develope a solution to allow for Netflix and Hulu but solved using Playon and a US Vpn solution. The unit runs smooth and provides for great viewing. Well worth the money but be prepared to spend some time getting to know it.. read the documentation..
