Strengths:
Fast Quiet with stock cooling Price Runs cool
Weaknesses:
Nothing at all.
Summary:
Powerhouse CPU, I could not imagine a better cpu for gaming and watching blu ray. Buy it, you will be happy you did. Just make sure you pair it up with a motherboard that has the latest and greatest chip set to maximize potential.

Strengths:
-Fast -Overclock -Cheap(Relatively) -Low Temp. -Quiet
Weaknesses:
nothing
Summary:
This core is best core ever. You can not find better core than this with reasonable price. I haven't tried to overclock yet, but I can run every game and videos without any lagging. Best Performance, Cheap Price, Easy to Overclock

Great performance value

Strengths:
-fast -cheap -a major upgrade from it's predecessor.
Weaknesses:
-doesn't hyperthread...but at this price who cares.
Summary:
An easy impulse buy for gamers or people who want a powerful system on a budget.

Strengths:
Added a V8 cooling system and have this bad boy running at 5.0GHz at only 40 degrees, best investment I have made on my computer.
Weaknesses:
Made by Intel
Summary:
Great value and performance

Strengths:
The i5 2500K Is 100$ Cheaper then the i7 2600K, and only lacks 2MB of cache and hyper-threading, however benchmarks have shown this makes a very little difference in gaming. This CPU supports Over clocking and HD 3000 graphics, and will in some cases outperform the i7 in games. If your going to be making a movie or work at pixar, buy the i7 2600K. otherwise for real world and gaming the i5 is just as fast as the i7. for 100$ less. Chip runs VERY cool, even on stock cooling. (25-27) degrees
Weaknesses:
The Stock heatsync application was a bit trouble some with the push pins, but most likely becasue this was my first Intel CPU. So really, None.
Summary:
Powerful, one of the top benched CPU with the i7 2600K and even the new Sandy-E bridge, the i5 2500K is one of the best bang for your buck processors. Outperforming even AMDs new 8 Core bulldozer 90% of the time.

Strengths:
Fast, Stable, stock heat-sink and fan not nearly as bad as reported.
Weaknesses:
Price. They can charge whatever they want cause AMD is lagging behind.
Summary:
WEI processor score: 7.5 (stock everything)
using Asus z68 motherboard without any tweaks.

Amazing

Strengths:
Very fast when combined with a Z68 chipset motherboard.
Runs at about 32c with no OC
Even tho this CPU can be overclocked i really don't see the point at this time.
Weaknesses:
none
Summary:
with this CPU and a Z68 chipset board + HD Radeon 6850 i can run starcraft 2 on max everything and get 120-150 FPS in a 4v4. Low settings in a 4v4 i can get over 400(sometimes spiking to over 500)

Awesome.

Strengths:
-Stupid easy to overclock
-Very good performance
-Quad core
-High clock speed, even at stock
Weaknesses:
-Stock heatsink
Summary:
Fantasic overclocking processor. It runs everything absolutely amazing. I was able to overclock mine to 4.3 ghz just by bumping the multiplyer, didn't even touch the voltages. I imagine if I fiddled with it I could easily reach 5.

The stock heatsink is pretty small for an overclocker. I highly recommend getting a 3rd party heatsink that can handle the heat, but even with overclocking you shouldn't need water cooling.

Great Little Chip

L from Calgary writes:
Strengths:
-Prime95 stable for days at 4.3Ghz with a Hyper212 air cooler, others have gone higher, approaching 5.0Ghz...
-Very close in OEM benchmark speeds to the 2600K and 30% cheaper
-Most boards' BIOS'es make it a one minute adjustment to overclock.
Weaknesses:
Early chipset issues prior to B3, but that's over now. I recommend Z68 chipset regardless... This is not really the 2500K's fault though, so it is not a processor weakness in my opinion.
Summary:
Excellent chip for over clocking if you don't mind voiding your Intel and IPR warranty. Runs well at stock speeds, but if you're staying at stock clock you'd be getting the 2500 non-K anyway. As an overclocker, it is spectacular.
