This early into the 1155 cycle Corsair is one of the few memory makers to bring 1.5v high density DIMMS for Sandy Bridge and supports Intel XMP. Though most people will not even need over 4-6 GB max in a system so over 8GB is just overkill. Nice timings but on Sandy Bridge faster memory gets you very very little real world results.
Weaknesses:
This memory looks juvenile and feels cheap. The thin flimsy heat spreaders have stickers on top and both sides that were not even fully pressed down. Heat spreaders are really only there for looks and marketing these days but these ones are a bad choice. The biggest problem with them is how tall they are making it difficult if not impossible to fit many of the best after market CPU coolers including Corsairs own A70 cooler in many situations.
Summary:
Go with another memory maker like G.skill with nice low profile sinks to avoid problems or wait for 6 months for everything to sort itself out. Sandy bridge is hardly out the door and still teething.
