Strengths:
I have one of these for both home and work that strongly enables me to do both. Very comfortable mouse, buttons all in the right places, great response time, range and best of all-- NOT AN MX REVOLUTION (what a disappointment that thing was, glad it's discontinued). As for the connector comment at the bottom, this is not the case in the slightest. The cable is designed to perfectly sit in the mouse's housing to effectively convert it to a wired mouse if you so choose. Plug in fits easy and snug
Weaknesses:
The biggest (and sole problem) with the mouse definitely has to be the battery life. For such a high end mouse, Logitech strongly dropped the ball on the idea of "One batter is plenty". During heavy use, i can generally use the mouse consistently between 10-14 hours without needing to plug it in, then it needs to be plugged in for approximately 1 hour for a full charge.
Summary:
Excellent mouse! I've recommended it to many people, the only complaint i've heard from any of them have been the battery life (solved with a brilliant connector). Not a very expensive mouse at all, very versatile for anything you may do.

Should Have Been Good.

Strengths:
Wireless to wired. Good shape, comfortable to hold, no complaints on the grips. Many buttons, more than enough, but...
Weaknesses:
Software not configured to allow use of all buttons. With default settings, or using the software download, you will only have access to an additional 2 buttons. Most buttons are not recognized by games, or are duplicates of middle mouse, etc. True you could remap the buttons to keystrokes, but this is hardly a reasonable solution to an expensive mouse. Also, some keys are bound to certain features, that are difficult to unbind.
Summary:
Could have been a good mouse, great design and features, however, the biggest selling point for me is also the biggest drawback, the extra buttons. Due to the extra amount of workarounds required to use all the buttons, I find myself debating getting a different mouse. The software also needs an overhaul.

Strengths:
High DPI
Programmable buttons
Basically all the features of the mouse
Weaknesses:
Pricey but being a high end gaming mouse, what does one expect?
Summary:
In regards to the other review saying the MX revolution is better...that mouse has a 800 dpi, this has up to...what 5700 dpi? something like that? The MX is a great mouse, but for gaming I think it's pretty obvious which mouse to buy.

Not bad, but not good enough.

Strengths:
Great feel, very smooth, easily replaceable battery, not bad buttons, cable (if you need it), change DPI on the fly.
Weaknesses:
Cable attachment point is very finicky. Battery life is poor (4 hours or so). Free Wheeling scroll wheel needs a button press to activate, plasticy feel.
Summary:
I also had an MX Revolution, and this mouse is definitely a step down. It feels cheap but works pretty good. The best feature of the MX Revolution was left out, that is the spin activated free scroll wheel. On this mouse you have to press a switch to activate it. The battery life is poor so you'll have to use it wired sometimes. It uses a standard AA NmH battery so if you have a charger you can have a few spares. Not worth the hefty price. Revolution was way better.

Strengths:
GREAT FEEL
good size
good buttons
easy mapping
can be used as wired mouse while charging or for better accuracy
Weaknesses:
expensive
has a battery (is wireless)
Summary:
Do not listen to other reviewer. The mouse has a VERY good feel to it. Like a rough, almost sandpaper rubber grip. Not too rubbery, not too rough, and doesnt wear down like Razer grips.

Some Good / Some Bad

Strengths:
Ergonomics - Comfortable to use
Micro USB Receiver - Great for notebooks
Replaceable battery
Weaknesses:
Software needs work
Cheap Feel
Buttons not very easy to use
Profiles kept getting lost
Summary:
I have had a Logitech MX Revolution mouse for about four years and LOVE it! It has been the best mouse I have ever owned, so I was looking forward to getting one of these when I read they were coming out. But it just isn't as good as my old mouse. The software doesn't work as well as the older version and the Profile I setup and saved kept getting lost, so I had to keep resetting it. Plus I found the custom buttons were hard to use and it just felt a little cheap compared to my old mouse.
