- I hate product that says it can do things on Spec sheet but Fails. THIS is not one of them. If I could I would buy 2 more to run the 3 monitor system with my vid card.

- I wasn't planning to spend this much on a monitor, but I am really glad I did. Very easy on the eyes and what a difference when my game action gets intense. I replaced a samsung/nvidia 3D system with this new monitor. Very happy to recommend this monitor
Good purchase

An excellent range of input ports for those of us who run many machines through one screen.
The speakers actually aren't bad for built in units, and handy if you want to hear output from two machines without swapping channels on the stereo.
Webcam thrown in as a bonus. - Weaknesses:
- As already noted, wobbly stand. Very wobbly. Almost entertainingly so.
Also the picture-in-picture cannot be used to show DVI alongside HDMI.
If you've got a vidcard with Displayport use that, it can PiP with either the DVI or the HDMI with no problems. - Summary:
- I think the other guys summed it up pretty well.
I will add that the webcam works right out of the box with Linux.
Tested on Mint 9.
Nice monitor, worth the price

- Very bright, no backlight bleeding, no smearing, plenty of video adjustments.
- Weaknesses:
- Crappy stand, not adjustable at all, wobbles. Bezels are soft "piano black" fingerprint and dust magnets. The protective tape they leave on it left some residue and just moving my finger on it to try and get it off put very fine scratches in the plastic. Man I hate gloss black bezels.
- Summary:
- Love the monitor, hate the stand. I have another model of 27" ASUS monitor with a non adjustable stand. Put them on the same desk side by side and they don't sit at the same height. I had to remove the stand and hook up an adjustable VISA stand. The stock stand also wobbles pretty bad. I have to say that the picture is awesome though, on both of my ASUS monitors. Highly recommended. Uh, just so your not disappointed, there's no such thing as "jet black" on a LCD monitor.

- Very good deep jet black blacks. NO I repeat NO dead or stuck pixels at all! LED backlighting quality is very good, it can be set extremely bright if required while maintaining excellent black quality. No light bleed through. A very good viewing angle and easily readable at steep angles before thepicture starts going dark. At extreme angles the screen stays readable easily with the typical dark edges and shadowing. Built in 2.0MP web cam can be handy. Shows well even sitting close to the screen
- Weaknesses:
- The Default setting can be quite bright on your eyes so it takes a little setting adjustment out of the box to tone it down a bit. The menu buttons and controls take a little egtting used to to work through the controls quickly. Really as far as I am concerned for the price point and overall quality of the picture there really is no weaknesses or anything to really complain about.
- Summary:
- All in all for the Price (same with or without the 2.0 mp webcam) you get alot of good mid range quality LCD screen with very good contrast giving really nice deep jet black colors and in bright enviroments it would be able to easily cut through if you required a monitor with settings capable of going that bright. The picture is very nice, and the colors are very deep and rich making the latest games nad movies look awsome.
