- Modular, quiet can hardly hear the fan. Most of the cables are sleeved, easy to work with. Made by Corsair so I know from past experience they stand behind their products. Not all that big so when I put it in a 650D case during a rebuild I was surprised how much room the case allowed for the PSU. Being modular it keeps things tidy, only use what you need to use.
- Weaknesses:
- I only had one issue and thats the extra eATX power to the MB. It could have been about 3-4 inches longer. In my case it worked but would have liked to seen a longer cord.
- Summary:
- I actually have had this PSU for over a year now and must say it s working great. Runs cool and quiet. Yes its a bit on the pricey side and you have cheaper choices but with Corsair I feel the extra cost is worth the warranty and peice of mind knowing they stand behind their products. If you watch for a sale I have seen these as low as 169.00

- Includes 2 different ATX 12v 4/8 pin cables, one of which uses the PCIe connection on PSU (referred to in rmch's review). There is no need to have these variations, and the having the PCIe -> CPU variant can cause confusion.
- Summary:
- I have put these PSUs into 3 separate high end gaming rigs and all are running flawlessly, best 850 watt PSU available, hands down.

- ~10mV ripple/noise (you read that right) ~85% efficiency even at 100V input power extremely quiet steady power delivery in all scenarios
- Weaknesses:
- Transient loads (GPU switching to 3d mode, etc) produce worrisome dips of up to 0.4V on the 12v rail. Still within ATX spec, but the HX series does better here. This should not affect your decision.
- Summary:
- This is one of the best 850W supplies on the market.
No SLI

- This is the premiere 850W PSU on the market. With top marks from reviewers for efficiency, quality and performance this is a no brainer. Graphics cards, processors, they all come and go. But a reliable PSU you can have for a long time, and this one will last that long time.

- I was surprise of how quiet this thing runs. Very stable, the fan doesn't run until it is hot enough...Highly recommended!! I upgraded from an Enermax and it is nothing compair to this power supply.
One rail for everything which is great...no need to worry which rail is which. - Weaknesses:
