-Caps can't hold much draw
-This thing is not bronze plus certified
Summary:
Bought it and returned on the same day. Machine pulling just under 600w under load and caps are hissing running an older 4850 in an overclocked machine. Price si right and thermaltake use to be fine but this model and the 850w are no where near as good enough as the new silverstone, cooler master or corsair Gold series only (not TX & HX)
Modular
Quiet when not under load
High amperage 12V rail
Looks nice
Weaknesses:
Can only actually deliver 500W
Makes extremely high buzzing when more then 300W of power is pulled
Board literally 'pops' after 530W of power is drawn.
Summary:
Stear clear if you want more than 500 watts. Otherwise, its half decent.
Gives Power, quiet when not under full loading.
Modular is nice
Weaknesses:
Makes buzzing noise whenever I play a game.
Summary:
I bought this PSU in late May 2010, however when I started playing a game (Left 4 Dead 2, Team Fortress 2) it would start making a buzzing sound. It seems though this occurs under high loading, with the buzz getting louder at higher loading. I thought it may just be defective but when i exchanged it for a new one, it also made the same buzzing noise under high loading.
